Rainbow was released as Mariah Carey's seventh studio album. It was released in 1999. It followed a massive run-up of studio releases for Mariah Carey in the 90s. It all started with her debut self-titled studio release. She then followed with Emotions, Music Box, Merry Christmas, Daydream, Butterfly and finally Rainbow.
