The Hills: Season One, Episode Three

That was a great episode of The Hills entitled An Unexpected Call. I am really impressed with this show and I have only just begun to watch it. There are many more seasons and episodes to come so I am actually looking forward to it with great anticipation now. I was a little hesitant at first but I always have to break things in, like shoes for example.

Keeping Up with the Kardashians: Season One, Episode Three

That was a really great episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians. It featured Bruce Jenner's son, Brody Jenner, and he is also featured in my new Reality Series entitled The Hills. Since Bruce Jenner is married to the Kardashians mother, Brody Jenner is Kim, Khloe and Kourtney's step-brother.

The Simple Life: Season Three (Interns), Episode Nine

I just finished the first episode of The Simple Life that I have seen in a long time, since I was focusing on Christmas-related material for my Blog during the month of December. Now that that is over with, I can focus on more secular material which is excellent after the entire backlash I received from doing that; for example, from Scrooge and Grinch.

Lost: Season Five, Episode Twelve

That was a great episode of Lost. I thoroughly enjoyed it as I have been taking a long break from this show so I don’t over-consume Television, but I am getting my regular Digital cable disconnected so that I can focus on my DVDs.  So that should help with my Blog and Productivity in general. As I have noticed an increase in Productivity since I have decided to reduce my Television consumption.

Ugly Betty: Season Three, Episode One

That was a great Season premiere for Ugly Betty, Season Three, entitled The Manhattan Project. Of course I am referring to Episode One from that season and it brings back fond memories as I have seen it before. It was great watching it the first time around and I can see that this is going to be an enjoyable season the second time around as well, as opposed to the Second Season which was somewhat painstakingly difficult to get through.

Rome: Season One, Episode Six

I just finished the Sixth Episode of Rome, Season One. It was pretty good, but not nearly as exciting as some of the other episodes of this show I have seen. It obviously takes place in Rome as the name suggests and it is very interesting to see how people lived back then because things have changed so much.  As it seems people have no concept of History anymore. This is a great way to revisit the past, and learn some key events that took place throughout History.

The Tudors: Season Two, Episode Seven

That was an ok episode of The Tudors. I can feel the anticipation growing as I approach the Season finale. Queen Anne and several others are executed and it makes for one of the best Season finales I have ever seen in History. This show is pretty remarkable considering it is mostly a Canadian production.

Madonna: Mother and Father

I actually finished listening to American Life already.  I just received this album on Compact Disc through Amazon.com on Tuesday, February 14th and today is Thursday, February 16th (not even 48 hours since I first placed it in my hands) and already I have listened to the seven songs I chose for my feature spread on my homepage; seven times.  That’s how much I am in love with this album.

Madonna: X-Static Process

I really can’t get over what this album is doing to me.  It reaches me on Spiritual levels I never thought I encompassed.  Meaning I am discovering new things about myself every time I listen to it and I have heard it before many times.  This was about ten years ago now, when it was released but even so it seems immeasurable; the level at which it stimulates my mind of course.

Madonna: Intervention

I am listening to this album at a rapid rate.  I have already listened to the seven songs I am highlighting five times in the last 24 hours.  That’s amazing and it’s a record for me, but it is Madonna so needless to say it would take someone like her to do that, if not Madonna herself.  American Life is one of the best albums on the planet.

Madonna: Nothing Fails

Apparently Nothing Fails was the third single released by Madonna from her now infamous ninth studio album entitled American Life.  I say infamous as I do not feel that way but most of the general public does.  I actually prefer the album American Life most likely over any other in History, including but not limited to any recorded by her.  American Life, the album, is seriously one of the best albums ever recorded in Modern history and then some.

Madonna: I’m So Stupid

I’m So Stupid is a great little song.  It shows the vulnerability of humanity, but in particular me.  I feel like sometimes I am so stupid.  However if you are a Madonna follower then you will know that she also says to “Get Stupid”.  So it’s a double-edged sword, as you are told to get stupid, you are then told that you are stupid.

Madonna: Hollywood

Another one of my favorite songs; especially since I have started to write this Blog, since it is primarily about Entertainment.  What screams Hollywood more than Entertainment, or should I say the other way around?

Madonna: American Life

American Life is seriously one of my favorite Madonna songs ever, if not my complete favorite.  I have no other song coming to mind as it encompasses everything I believe to be in a song; and if you know me then you know that any Madonna song reigns supreme over any other artist.

Lady GaGa: Marry the Night

Apparently I just finished my Lady GaGa playlist for the Season.  It’s pretty upsetting as I was looking forward to playing Judas more; after all it is my favorite Lady GaGa song.  However I suppose you can't recreate the past and that song is very 2011.  It was my favorite song from 2011 and I will always remember it.

Lady GaGa: The Edge of Glory

I am currently listening to The Edge of Glory and it excites me.  All the memories of last year come flooding back as Judas was released preceding Easter and The Edge of Glory was released after that.  All I remember thinking was how exciting it was to go to work during the height of Summer Solstice, since The Edge of Glory was released around the same time and that’s when I chose to download it.

Lady GaGa: Judas

I am almost through my Lady GaGa playlist.  It is getting quite exciting now, however.  I am really enjoying listening to Judas at this time of year since it is so close to Easter.  Having said that; it is actually Shrove Tuesday tonight and so therefore Lent starts tomorrow which means there are only 46 days until Easter and that equals more presents, at least for me.  This was written before I published it.

Lady GaGa: Alejandro

That was a great Lady GaGa playlist I listened to on this, the 20th of February, Presidents Day in the United States ofAmerica.  I can now see why this particular Monday in Canada is so dead.  There is literally no one outside, nor working.  That’s how it is when you deal with your largest trading partner in the world.  It’s great and all but once again I feel like I am doing all the work.

Lady GaGa & Beyonce: Telephone (DJ Dan Vocal Remix)

The DJ Dan Vocal Remix of Telephone is one of my most favorite remixes ever.  The original of this song is also amazing, however the Remix I am referring to (the DJ Dan Vocal Remix) is a great remix and so therefore I highly recommend the Maxi-Single to this song as there are also some other amazing remixes on this Maxi-Single.  For example, there are 10 remixes on this Maxi-Single and it can be most easily found on iTunes if you are not privy to Amazon.com in your country.

Lady GaGa: Bad Romance (DJ Dan Remix)

This Remix is pretty good.  I prefer the original versus the Remix or any Remix for that matter however I was really looking forward to a really good House Remix of BadRomance and I got it.  This is my favorite Remix of Bad Romance and I must say that Lady GaGa has some of the best Remixes around.

Lady GaGa: Poker Face

I just finished listening to my latest Lady GaGa set-list.  It was pretty amazing, but come to find out that Lady GaGa didn’t have the best-selling album of 2011.  It must be because of the Christian epithets in her songs and videos.  I mean who else would hate that besides the majority of the people on this planet making her a number two best-selling album artist of 2011 at best.

Rihanna featuring Calvin Harris: We Found Love

I finally finished my most-recent Rihanna playlist.  I always have so many of hers on the go as she is quite the little miss sunshine.  I actually prefer Rihanna to a lot of other people right now because it’s hard for me to find good talent these days.  So much so that I have reverted back to buying CDs again; not that that is a bad thing, but it is 2012.

Rihanna: S&M (Dave Aude Radio)

I couldn’t find the remix I was looking for to this song so I chose to advertise the remix featuring Britney Spears, which is actually most likely better.  However it was not available at the time of my download.  So this song (the original), was not very commercially successful, but it did garner a great feeling in me since I like the melody of this song and the lyrics are pretty interesting.  Of course it was remixed several times, including but not limited to, a great remix featuring none other than Britney Spears aforementioned above.  This is where it gets somewhat confusing because Britney Spears did a remix with Nicki Minaj and Ke$ha for a song that was released at relatively the same time entitled Till the World Ends.

Rihanna: Only Girl (In the World)

Only Girl (In the World) is quite literally and quite possibly my favorite Rihanna song.  I don’t think she will ever be able to top that, lyrically speaking and musically.  Only Girl (In the World) served as the lead single to her massively successful follow-up to 2009's debacle, entitled Rated R.  I do, of course, appreciate that album but in terms of clarity and enlightenment it had a long way to go, however Loud fit the bill.

Rihanna: Hard (Jody den Broeder Radio Edit)

Hard was released as the second single from Rated R, Rihanna's fourth studio album, but I really didn’t like that album even though I loved that song.  I can safely say I still do and it is due in large part to the amazing Remix Jody den Broeder did for this single.  I actually only downloaded the Maxi-Single to this song, which is like an EP referring to Maxi-Single.  A Maxi-Single usually contains remixes only.  I therefore highly recommend this song (the original), this Remix and the few singles it spawned after its release from the album, entitled Rated R.

Rihanna: Disturbia (Jody den Broeder Remix)

This is where it starts to get tricky.  Disturbia is from Rihanna's re-release of Good GirlGone Bad, entitled Good Girl Gone Bad: Reloaded and this particular remix is actually from her Compilation/Remix album entitled Good Girl Gone Bad: The Remixes.  That just goes to show how successful that particular album was, referring to the original, since none of her other albums; including but not limited to anything recent, have ever done that well.  I would also be hard pressed to find any other artist in Music history who has ever succeeded in doing such a thing, as that.

Rihanna: Breakin’ Dishes

Ok so Breakin’ Dishes was not released as a single but it was included on her Compilation/Remix album, which is great.  That album is entitled Good Girl Gone Bad: The RemixesI love Breakin’ Dishes, it really inspires me to do the dishes and without a dishwasher I really have no choice.  It talks about other things as well like the police coming but that’s usual when you are trying to make an economic recovery after everyone fell asleep.

Rihanna featuring Jay-Z: Umbrella

I must say I have some, if not the most amazing Rihanna music around.  I have one studio album on Compact Disc, a Compilation (or remix) album on Compact Disc and several MP3s, which are countless.  If you look at my current set-list then you will see I have the cream of the crop, in terms of Rihanna's greatest singles.

The Hills: Season One, Episode Two

That was a great episode of The Hills entitled A Change of Plans. I always enjoy seeing my new favorite Celebrities. They are hardly Celebrities in this season but they do go on to do some pretty amazing things. For example I am talking about Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt specifically; however Spencer Pratt doesn’t even enter the show until Season Two, and apparently it is only in a supporting role. I have a hard time believing that, but I am reading it from Wikipedia so it might not be 100% accurate.

Keeping Up with the Kardashians: Season Three, Episode One

I just finished the Season premiere from the Third Season of Keeping Up with the Kardashians. It was absolutely amazing and stunning. It was so worth the wait and the content was extraordinary. I had waited so long to get this season that I decided to watch the First Season again, as I was missing The Kardashians so much. Kim, Khloe and Kourtney are such an amazing trio.

The Simple Life: Season Three (Interns), Episode Eight

That was a great episode of The Simple Life, but as I approach the end of this season, it gets a little emotional. I am actually at the halfway point of the series and that marks a bitter-sweet moment for me; as the second half of the series is not nearly as exciting as the first half. In particular, the Fifth Season is the worst. I am not looking forward to that, but the upcoming season (Season Four) still has some great moments.

Private Practice: Season Two, Episode Fifteen

This show is really starting to irk me. I try so hard to like it but it just isn’t happening. It reminds me of a really crappy version of Grey’s Anatomy and I wasn’t really in love with that show to begin with. I am looking forward to getting off of these shows for a time period, if not longer. I need a break from all of the sappy Medical drama. I prefer something a little more realistic as these shows overdramatize everything. ER on the other hand never seemed to do that.

Grey's Anatomy: Season Five, Episode Twenty Three

That episode of Grey’s Anatomy was pretty boring. I remember when I was so excited to watch this show and now it’s like: I feel like it’s something I have to do. For example tonight I was so bored that I decided to watch it even though I could have done without it. I am now on the Season finale of the Fifth Season and from there I have no more new seasons of this show to watch; therefore if they want me to buy more seasons then the Executive producers of Grey's Anatomy should really try to impress me on the next episode.

Lost: Season Five, Episode Eleven

That was a pretty good episode of Lost. It wasn’t my favorite episode but I did learn some things that I am not accustomed to hearing about concerning Time Travel; the Past, Future and Present, and some other interesting things. Of course you would have to be a believer in those sorts of things for you to understand what I am talking about or even what they were talking about.

Legend of the Seeker: Season One, Episode Eight

That was a great episode from Legend of the Seeker. It’s actually one of my favorites, entitled Denna, as it features her; one of the Mord-Sith. I love the Mord-Sith so much that the Executive producers must have read my mind because they featured one as a regular during Season Two and she too is also a favorite character of mine and a favorite Mord-Sith of mine.

Girlicious: Like Me

The album Girlicious is some of the best-written material I have ever heard.  It’s too bad they had to break up but I suppose it was inevitable.  However I will hang onto this album as it is one of my favorites.  I tend to not like girl-groups like that but this group really made me thankful and happy.  It’s so nice to hear a girl-group like this with so much class and style.

Girlicious: Stupid Sh**

I am almost through my Pussycat Doll/Girlicious set-list.  It’s pretty good if I do say so myself.  Who would have thought of putting those two together?  It is genius and they seriously go together like bread and butter.  It’s amazing, although having said that it is the best I could do as I only own one CD of each group.

Girlicious: Baby Doll

Baby Doll was released as the third single from the self-titled debut studio album from Girlicious.  Of course Girlicious, the album, did not do that well; but the group did, overall with their Reality Television show.  In fact Girlicious, the album, was only released in Canada and not even in the coveted market of the United States of America.

The Pussycat Dolls: Hush Hush; Hush Hush

Hush Hush; Hush Hush is a pretty good song but I must admit that my favorite part is the sample from I Will Survive care of Gloria Gaynor.  I love her and I really have no idea who she is.  All I know is that song was released shortly after I was born, so it just goes to show my infatuation with that song, both Hush Hush; Hush Hush and I Will Survive as Hush Hush; HushHush contains a sample of I Will Survive like I said.

The Pussycat Dolls: I Hate This Part

I Hate This Part is a pretty good song.  I remember listening to it in my living room way back in 2009 right around this time of year; although a little later, as it was only at a few days from now, that I moved in here.  That’s pretty great but it doesn’t completely remind me of living here because I wasn’t always at home while I listened to it.  However it was a great follow-up to Whatcha Think About That and it actually preceded the massively successful JaiHo (You Are My Destiny) single which really put the Pussycat Dolls on the map.

The Pussycat Dolls: When I Grow Up

This song was released as the lead single to their massive Sophomore follow-up, of their debut album entitled PCD.  Of course the massive follow-up is entitled Doll Domination.  But don’t think that it’s a pussycat follow-up.  The MiniCollection EP for example contains some of the best power house lyrics I have ever heard.  Including but not limited to Jai Ho (You Are My Destiny) as noted previously, and I Hate This Part.

A R Rahman and The Pussycat Dolls featuring Nicole Scherzinger: Jai Ho (You Are My Destiny)

This song was the whole purpose behind my purchase of TheMini Collection EP for Doll Domination.  I was actually in the process of getting it when I saw it at a store and bought it impulsively.  That was one of the best decisions I have ever made, impulsively.  However I regret that I don’t have more of their work as I would have; had I bought Doll Domination 2.0 and I am pretty sure that’s what I was in the market for.

The Cranberries: Promises

The song, Promises, was released as the lead single from Bury the Hatchet, which is the fourth studio album produced by TheCranberries.  When I say produced I am not referring to the Producer of the record, Benedict Fenner, rather that The Cranberries themselves sang and performed the songs.  Sometimes people get confused when I say that, as any studio album or what have you, usually has a different Producer than the artist(s) themselves.

The Cranberries: Bosnia

Bosnia is a great song.  All I can think about is when I moved to Ontario and met a girl who was from Sarajevo.  She was amazing and I will never forget her; her name was Sonia.  I am not sure but I think she was actually born in Sarajevo as all we talked about was Sarajevo and of course the country in which it is part of, Bosnia and Herzegovina.  Sarajevo is the capital and largest city of that country, which is a former Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia.

The Cranberries: Free to Decide

Free to Decide was essentially what sold this record; being To the Faithful Departed, at least for me it was.  It provides a great anthem from that era, although I could have used a little less melodramatics, but that’s how things were back then.  Nowadays you wouldn’t even think about talking about suicide in a song on that level.  There may be subtleties, but nothing to that extreme.

The Cranberries: Salvation

Salvation was released as the debut single from the third studio album by The Cranberries entitled To the Faithful Departed.  It was an ok song and it did ok but what made me buy the album was the next single, Free to Decide.  That song has some great lyrics and metaphorically speaking it is more interesting to listen to.  However the great thing about Salvation is the concept of Salvation itself.

The Cranberries: Daffodil Lament

Daffodil Lament was not officially released as a single but yet is worthy of being released.  At least as a last ditch effort for an album.  It’s not your stand alone breakout smash hit but lyrically it is so awe inspiring.  I think this is one of my most favorite obscure songs or abstract.  It has deep philosophical meaning and the metaphors are astonishing.

The Cranberries: Zombie

Zombie is a great song.  The song was released as the debut single from their follow up to Everybody Else Is Doing It, So Why Can’t We?  And so therefore it is the first single from their second studio album entitled:  No Need to Argue.  Of course this is their most successful single but they have many other great songs and in my opinion this song might not be their most innovative, rather most shocking.
