Toxic really put the album, In the Zone, on the map and for those that weren’t following it really put Britney Spears back on the map as well. But she had done so many things preceding that; so it wasn't as if she fell off the map. So if you were one of the few on the planet that didn’t notice Britney Spears before this, then you certainly noticed after Toxic. However she did take a long break after this, only to have one of the biggest genuine comebacks in music history.
