Madonna
You’ll See was a great song by Madonna and still is. I recommend this song to everyone as it is extremely inspirational.
No Doubt: The Singles 1992 - 2003
The Singles 1992 – 2003 is a great album. The only reason I say that is because although I used to have Rock Steady on CD and Return of Saturn on CD, I no longer own either of those CDs so this compilation album is worth the price for me because Rock Steady and Return of Saturn are both amazing albums and this greatest hits package is the closest thing I can get to owning either of those two albums or both. Anyhow I really must say that this album is one of the best I have ever heard. If you have never heard Hella Good, then you are definitely missing out as this song is a classic from around the turn of the most recent Century. Anyhow I highly recommend this album over any other greatest hits package I have ever heard except for the one and only Madonna.
No Doubt: Tragic Kingdom
Tragic Kingdom was a great album and still is. I just finished listening to some of it because it was so amazing and so well produced. Although it was released in 1995, it really didn’t gain traction until the following year when Don’t Speak was released. That song to this day remains a classic and whether you want to admit it or not, so does Gwen Stefani. I am still waiting for her comeback.
The Cranberries: Bury the Hatchet
Bury the Hatchet was not the best album I ever heard. Promises was a great song and still is but the other songs on the album leave something to be desired. I can only listen to it so much because it makes me want to be sick to my stomach at some points because of all the cleaning I used to do while I listened to it. I remember I would clean the floors at work while I would listen to it, and I can’t help but think and be brought back to that time period. It was the turn of the Century and turn of the Millennium for that matter and I had felt like my life was out of control given the gravity of what was about to happen. Things we pretty quiet when this album was released, but by the end of the year Y2K was around the corner and 9/11 was about to occur. Of course I had some personal things which also were affecting me.
The Cranberries: To the Faithful Departed
To the Faithful Departed was a great album. I just finished listening to it for the umpteenth time. I listened to it quite a bit when it was released in 1996 and it completely reminded me of that time period. I have fond memories of that year, since I went to University that year and moved away from home. That was an exciting and exhilarating experience and I don’t regret it for one minute. It was actually the most amazing time of my life and everything else is just not measuring up. I listened to this album proudly this evening thinking everyone else around me would appreciate it because of their Celtic background, but I was sadly mistaken. All they can think about is their country music and lack of culture. Wouldn’t it be nice to visit Europe again?
The Cranberries: No Need to Argue
The Cranberries' No Need to Argue album was a great album, especially considering it was only their follow-up album to their debut. They most definitely beat the sophomore slump with this record considering it sold so many copies and spawned a debut single that went to #1 in so many different countries. This album was their best in terms of financial success having sold over 7,000,000 copies in the U.S. alone or having gone 7x Platinum. The two singles that I enjoy the most off of this album are Ode to My Family and Zombie. Those are two pretty amazing songs even to this day. I am writing this in 2011 and they seem pretty timeless.
The Black Eyed Peas
Monkey Business was an ok album. I keep comparing it to the modern-day Black Eyed Peas and there is really no comparison. Monkey Business was when I was first introduced to the Black Eyed Peas on a grand scale. It heavily influenced my summer that year and I don’t forget the great memories I created while listening to it. I have fond memories about going to work and coming home from the same place of employment I now journey to although it was a different company back then. I guess you could say that I have come somewhat full circle considering that I am listening to the modern-day Black Eyed Peas on the way to work these days as well. It’s pretty strange, but things have changed quite a bit so it’s not a complete full circle, but a circle none the less.

Jersey Shore
That was a great episode of Jersey Shore. It was the season finale of Season One and it was a great way to wrap up the season. I am looking forward to the next season, the Third Season is being released next month, and the Fourth Season airs this summer. There is also a Fifth Season in the works so this show is here to stay. I am very excited about that and looking forward to the rest of the series.
Private Practice
That was a surprisingly pretty good episode of Private Practice. I am not a huge fan of this show but I thought it would be a good idea to watch considering that my favorite character from Grey’s Anatomy is the Lead Actress. Of course she is no longer my favorite character, nor is she my favorite character from Private Practice. I think the new show got to her head a little bit and since then I have realized that she isn’t so entertaining after all. It would be more entertaining if she was a little bit more down to Earth but she is in Los Angeles now so I see her point. Los Angeles is my favorite city in the world and it’s difficult to keep a small head when thinking about that city, or even living in it.
Lost
That was the craziest episode of Lost I have ever seen. Dr. Juliet Burke is one of the best characters on Lost and the actress who plays her is amazing, too bad Elizabeth Mitchell was not as good on the now defunct show V. I understand why that show was cancelled but Elizabeth Mitchell didn’t help, at least not the character she played. However, the character that she plays on Lost is phenomenal and quite possibly the best new character since the original cast. I still miss some of the old favorites but I understand that their time came to an end, but it doesn’t make it any easier. I am looking forward to starting this series again from scratch which should be sometime later next year.
Grey's Anatomy
That was a great episode of Grey’s Anatomy. It has been a long time since I have seen an episode of this show, but it was worth the wait. I am happy to say that now, but I had my doubts during the initial segments of the show. I always feel let down when I start the episode, but then by the time it is over, I have always decided that it was a good show, although the ending is not always what I want to see. The best part of this show is the second to last and third to last segment. I have a hard time getting to that point, and making it past the last segment. I always find the wrap-up to be a bit dry, but it’s always exciting to see the very last line of the show. It always keeps you coming back for more.
Ugly Betty
That episode of Ugly Betty was pretty exciting. I am watching it for the second time so it is turning out to be pretty good, considering that I have not watched this season of Ugly Betty for about a year. It completely reminds me of 2010 but I guess that's not so bad, considering that it has only been about a year since that time period. This show is pretty exciting, but I will be glad to get home and watch some real shows. This show is real, but it is lacking some of the appeal that shows today have. The shows I am thinking about in particular are reality shows and action shows, since those types of shows seem like that's where it's at.
Legend of the Seeker
That was the best episode of Legend of the Seeker that I ever saw. It was the Series Finale and although I have seen it three times now, I am still in love with it because it is the best show ever produced in that series in my opinion. I love giving my opinion about this show because I truly believe in it. I love this show so much that when I get my own HDTV, I will probably and most likely, watch it again because it is a very high quality and creatively produced show. I love this show and miss it already.
The Tudors
That was a pretty uneventful and disinteresting episode of The Tudors, although I am watching it for the second time. It’s like it says in the show though, to get the heart of the story you have to go back to the beginning, although you might already know how it ends. It’s pretty interesting to watch but overall I would have to say that this show is not one of the best I have ever seen, but that is mostly because it has Canadian links and I am not a huge fan of Canadian cinema. I am much more of a fan of American theatre.

Battle: Los Angeles
Battle: Los Angeles was an ok film. It was definitely not the best film I have ever seen and it was so horrendous that I had to keep pausing it for breaks and didn’t even finish the entire movie in one sitting. I woke up this morning to finish the rest and it was quite uneventful overall. I just find the plot to be terribly weak and the lines in the movie are just as bad. I didn’t even have the volume up very high because I was so unimpressed with the dialogue. The characters in the movie definitely needed some work. The only thing that I recommend this movie for are the visual effects and the graphics. I normally do not talk about movies like that, but it is so graphic that you think you are actually watching a video game being played because it is so amazing. Of course you would have to watch it on Blu-ray Disc to get that full effect, but seriously, what else is this film good for?
The Town
The Town was a great movie. I am watching it right now for the third time because it is so amazing and so awe inspiring. It's not that breaking the law is a good thing, but these criminals are people and they should be treated with dignity and respect as well. I don't believe in labeling people either good or bad. We can all have bad days and be in a bad mood, but that shouldn't stop us from receiving love, after all it is nearly impossible to hate someone all of the time. There always comes a point in your life where you need to forgive that person if you are ever going to move on, and we all want to move on. Anyhow I highly recommend this movie as it was one of the best from 2010 and in my opinion, one of the best ever made.
The Social Network
The Social Network was an amazing movie. I am so glad that I bought it and went to the movie theater to watch it. Of course the best time that I watched it was when I went to the theater to see it because the theater was packed that night and it was really an amazing experience. It was kind of like going to a rave and those are always fun. Anyhow I am now watching it on Blu-ray Disc for the third time so in total I have seen it four times now and every time has been fun. I even plan on watching it at least one more time because that is how good of a film it is. I recommend it to anyone from the Internet Generation, which includes a lot of people – at least 600 million at last count.
Secretariat
I am in the middle of watching Secretariat and it is painstakingly awful. I never saw such a horrendous movie in all my life and here I was thinking that it was going to be the best movie that I ever saw in my whole entire life when I saw the trailer. Of course I was in the theater to watch the Social Network so perhaps it was too good to be true that I would be watching an awesome movie on the big screen at the same time that I was thinking about getting a movie that I saw a preview to on Blu-ray Disc. It’s just that sometimes I think I will win them all and this was definitely not a win. I am glad I got it though because I earned some points, quite a few actually, towards a free movie that I was entitled to for purchasing so many movies through Disney over the years. I belong to their points program entitled Disney Movie Rewards and it is really outstanding because you can win free movies from them, or should I say earn, either way it’s a win.
The Crimson Wing: Mystery of the Flamingos
The Crimson Wing: Mystery of the Flamingos was a great movie but I seriously saw it for the fourth time recently and it was painstakingly boring. Having said that it was a great movie and I recommend it to any nature enthusiast, of which I am not but I understand that many people around the world are. I am more of an animal lover and not so much a lover of nature. I just find it to be completely boring at this point since so many of us have evolved past the point of sleeping in tents. It’s a great thing but it isn’t for me. I enjoy the comfort of my own bed and how I feel inside of it when I wake up in the morning. I am much more of a cat lover considering that they are one of the most evolved species on planet Earth.
The Last Airbender
The Last Airbender was an ok movie when I first saw it, but at this point it’s like pulling teeth trying to get through it because it is so childish and juvenile. I prefer movies with more of an adult story line and not all about kids and their fantasies. Don’t get me wrong, fantasizing is great, but on that level it’s a little bit extreme. It’s fun to come back down to Earth and realize you are like everyone else and doing the same thing. These types of movies make you feel like there is some alternate world out there or something and that is great but getting there is the hard part. I would much rather concentrate on things here no matter how terrible they are and right now they are pretty terrible.
Kingdom of Heaven
Kingdom of Heaven was a great movie. I always enjoy watching this film, it’s one of my favorites and it shows considering how many times I have watched it. Orlando Bloom is a phenomenal actor and putting him in a lead role is the best place for him. I am looking forward to seeing him in other roles but I will have to live with Kingdom of Heaven and The Lord of the Rings film trilogy. He was fantastic in those as well.

Jersey Shore
That was an amazing episode of Jersey Shore. I am almost through this season already but I already have the second season and I am getting the third season when it comes out, which should be relatively soon. This show is most likely one of the best reality shows still on television. I hear that the fourth season will be on the air this summer so if you prefer to watch it while it is on the air then have a field day, otherwise order the DVDs and have an even better time considering that it is commercial free. I am enjoying these episodes even though I have seen them before because that is how good of a show this is. Of course I am talking about a reality show, but none the less it is highly entertaining.
Keeping Up with the Kardashians
That was a great episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians. I am so in love with this show that they are my new favorite family and most likely my favorite celebutantes. It’s just amazing how they have completely replaced Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie as the new “It” girls. They really do an amazing job and if you have not seen the show yet then you are really missing out. I have been asking people around my area if they have seen it and they have all said no which baffles me because I thought I was the only one who wasn’t watching it. They are on the cover of all the magazines and seriously, if you have not seen it, then you have to rush out and buy all the seasons available on DVD.
The Simple Life
That was a great episode of The Simple Life. I am now on episode two of Season Two, entitled Road Trip. It is pretty amazing and it brings back a lot of old memories that I love considering I have seen it more than once. But oddly enough it is not as nearly as boring as you would think given that it is only a reality show, but none the less probably one of the best reality shows ever produced. Speaking about Paris Hilton and reality shows, I hear that she is coming out with a new reality show. I want to see it, I just hope it is available in my area or is released on DVD.
Legend of the Seeker
That was a pretty amazing episode of Legend of the Seeker, but I will be so glad to see the Series Finale the next time I watch it, as that will be the end of this show for a while, if not forever. I am really happy about that, but overall, it has been one hell of a ride. I loved every moment of it, and the ups and downs were amazing. The show itself really made me want to watch it again and again and so I did, but now it is time to say good-bye for a bit, if not forever like I said. The thing is I appreciate all the young talent and so on, on the show, so it’s sad to say good-bye, but I am sure I will see them again, somehow. Anyway, until then I will wait patiently until we are reunited again. Good-bye fellow seekers.
The Tudors
That episode of The Tudors was pretty interesting but not nearly as interesting as the first time around. I watched it today in honor of Queen Victoria, given that it is Victoria Day here in Canada today and I couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate, then to watch an episode of The Tudors considering it is about King Henry the VIII's reign over England. Anyhow Queen Victoria was the longest reigning British Monarch in history and still is, considering that Queen Elizabeth the II is only the second longest reigning British Monarch in history so far. Queen Victoria is also still the longest reigning female monarch in all of history. It’s pretty interesting and I suggest you give this show a shot, considering it is about British Monarchy and is extremely interesting.
Legend of the Seeker
That episode of Legend of the Seeker was pretty amazing, but I am looking forward to the end of this series. It’s been a great run up, but it took me way too long to get through this time around, considering that I have been watching this season since December. That’s a pretty long time for me, so it will be excellent to get through it and what I am most looking forward to is putting it back on the shelf. I first got this season on DVD in October at the very end of the month, and it took me only about a month to get through. This time around it took me well over five months to get through because it was such a painstakingly exhausting experience, having said that, I would still recommend this show to anyone over the age of 18.
The Tudors
I just finished watching an episode of The Tudors given that it is Victoria Day weekend here in Canada and we celebrate Queen Victoria's Birthday because she was and still is the longest reigning monarch in British history and the longest reigning female monarch in the history of the world. That could be surpassed pretty soon by Queen Elizabeth the second but she still has a good four years to go. Victoria Day in Canada is usually celebrated as the beginning of summer with festivities at cottages and the like. The Tudors most definitely reminds me of my British heritage and background so I often talk about the Commonwealth I live in because it is great to be part of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

Jersey Shore
That episode of Jersey Shore was whack, but I was expecting that because I have seen it before, but it was oh so exciting to see again. I am a huge fan of Jersey Shore and the cast members, especially JWoww and Snooki, but I also like Pauly D and The Situation. It’s just I find them to be the most entertaining, but if I were to pick one star of the show, then it would be JWoww. I just think she is amazing, and with her rocking body, it’s actually highly entertaining to watch.
Keeping Up with the Kardashians
That was a great Season Finale to the first ever season of Keeping Up with the Kardashians. I am so in love with this show that it might well be my favorite show ever. I am sure that it is my favorite Reality Show ever but I have been spoiled with The Simple Life, so anything remotely resembling that is going to catch my eye. I must say that this show took me a long time to get into but it was completely worth the wait and has been far from a disappointment, rather a complete mind blowing experience. I do not say that lightly because it takes a lot to blow me way. But this show is most definitely and definitively the best show that is on the air currently. The Sixth Season starts in a matter of days.
The Simple Life
That was a great first episode of The Simple Life, Season Two, entitled Road Trip. I am so in love with this show, even till this day, because it was so well produced, and so well thought out that it kept me wanting more and more. I watched the First Season while it was on the air, then I watched the next few and so on here and there, but never really paid attention to it closely enough while it was on the air to understand the true depth of the show. The First Season was the first television season that I ever decided to buy on DVD and now I own all five. The series is an absolutely amazing series and if you have not seen it in entirety then I highly recommend it. You do not get the full scope of the show until you watch the whole thing. There are even parts in it that let you see a glimpse of what happened to Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie during their now infamous feud.
Brothers and Sisters
That episode of Brothers and Sisters was pretty good, but this show is beginning to drive me nuts considering I have been watching it so much lately and have only really been paying attention to it recently. I think I need something fresh and exciting. I have some new shows on the way, but I suppose I will be watching Brothers and Sisters for a long time given that there are four more seasons after this season, however, the show itself has been cancelled, so that’s great because now I can focus my energy elsewhere. I love that and what I am really looking for is so good drama and excitement. I think I am through with ABC but I might start looking around the other networks like NBC and CBS.
Lost
That was a stellar episode of Lost as usual. I am not disappointed with this show at all, rather extremely impressed considering that I have seen so many episodes and have watched nearly four seasons of it. That would mean that I only have two remaining, but I am going to savor the moment because I feel it coming to an end and that brings tears to my eyes considering how much I have invested in this show, both financially and emotionally. I really get choked up thinking about it because it is an extremely emotional show and for anyone who has not seen it, well you are definitely missing out because it is probably the most memorable show of the last decade and is still current given that it was far ahead of its time.
Grey's Anatomy
That was a pretty interesting episode of Grey’s Anatomy, but I am totally not watching this show for myself. Rather I am watching it for people who are interested in it, like my mother. God forbid that I actually like it, because heaven knows I do not. I have had moments here and there where I have felt like it has been a great show, but overall, I have to say that it is completely and utterly boring. I mean who even watches medical dramas anymore? They are so last century, need I remind you of ER and most notably St. Elsewhere, which really started it all? I am talking about the 1980s and 1990s overall, but who even considers any decade before that to be from the last century, considering that things did not really end up heating up until after the 1970s.
Ugly Betty
That episode of Ugly Betty was pretty forgettable. Season Two is my least favorite season in the series and it is dreadful trying to get through it, especially considering I am on my second run of it. But I want to get my moneys’ worth so instead of shelving it, I have decided to watch it again and I am doing that because I invested so much time and equity in the four seasons I own on DVD. DVDs are becoming so boring when you think about how far we have come in picture quality. It just isn’t the same and the older the series the worse it is. This series is from the 2006-2007 television season and it really shows, albeit I am on the 2007-2008 television season of the show because that is when Season Two was on the air.
Madonna
Listening to American Life again is always fun. I enjoyed that album thoroughly and in particular, even though it was mostly a commercial flop. It’s too bad because there are so great songs on it.
Backstreet Boys
Listening to the Backstreet Boys again was great, I chose to listen to their sixth studio album entitled Unbreakable. There were two singles released from this album but really only one in my mind because the second one did not have nearly as much impact as the first and the second one was also a little bit empty in quality. The video was good but overall, the song was a little bit dead. I much prefer the debut single from this album entitled Inconsolable.
Janet Jackson
Janet Jackson's 20 Y.O. album was a pretty good album, but only because “So Excited” and “Call on Me” are on it. Other than that I wouldn’t recommend it but because these two singles are on it, it is worth the money, but if you are going to pick one song over the other then I highly recommend “So Excited” because it is the better of the two. The other song is somewhat forgettable but “So Excited” is definitely not. I recommend this song to any Janet fan and if you have never heard it, then I highly recommend it because it was a great song from the middle of the last decade. Of course that was before the Financial Crisis but it gives you a good perspective on how things were during the most recent and most memorable housing boom and bubble.
Marilyn Manson
So, The Golden Age of Grotesque, was a pretty amazing album, but only because “mOBSCENE” and “This Is the New Shit” is included on it. If you have never heard of Marilyn Manson then you are definitely missing out. He reached his peak in the late 90s but none the less is an amazing artist and should be supported. A lot of people do not understand him and criticize his work of art, but seriously they are not saints either. They should look in the mirror someday and see what they find because we are all a little like Marilyn Manson on some level. He has taken a lot of heat over the years concerning the tragic Columbine High School massacre and his possible involvement in it as an inspirational music instigator, but seriously, if you are going to do something like that because of a song then you have got problems on a whole different level. I feel bad that they tried to accuse him of being a role model for that horrific crime but none the less I also see their point. Marilyn Manson is a great artist in my opinion and has done some great things of which one of those is not being a role model for that horrific crime in 1999.
Alanis Morissette
Listening to Supposed Former Infatuation Junkie again was pretty amazing. I love Alanis Morissette and I am so glad that she is from Canada. She was actually born in a city that I used to live in for a very long time in Canada, called Ottawa. Ottawa is the capital city of Canada and it is quite thrilling to live there or be there in general. I am looking forward to going back and perhaps I will run into Alanis while I am there, joke. Anyhow it would be great to see her but I understand she is really busy so going back to Ottawa is not on her list of priorities at this time I do believe. She is based out of Los Angeles now and apparently has a husband and child.
Madonna
Listening to Erotica again was absolutely mind blowing. Who doesn’t love the Queen of Pop and to see her onstage again was absolutely amazing considering she was giving a speech in front of Oprah. I am so impressed with her work, and I hope this means she is making a comeback because this has been one of the longest stretches of not hearing from her in my entire life. It was so awful that I found myself having a mini Madonnathon in her honor, considering that I have so many of her CDs and it was the only thing I could think of to be close to her in spirit.

Jersey Shore
That episode of Jersey Shore was ok. Not my favorite, but the show really didn’t get going until after the First Season ended. It is coming back on apparently this summer for the Fourth Season. I still have to purchase the Third Season on DVD since I only have the First and Second Season. I am not even sure if the Third Season is even available yet on DVD given that it just ended its run on television in March. I just checked on Amazon and the Third Season is not even being advertised yet, so it could be a while before I get that. The Fourth Season, according to Wikipedia, is tentatively airing this summer, but could air anytime during the second half of 2011 apparently.
Keeping Up with the Kardashians
If you ask me, Keeping Up with the Kardashians, is the best reality show on television. Who can top Kim, Kourtney, and Khloe Kardashian? They are amazing and whoever does not think they are, well they have not seen the show. I adore this show, and I think it is one of the best shows on television, because it is still on the air, coming back for a Sixth Season in June.
The Simple Life
That was a great episode of The Simple Life but I am so glad to be through with that season. It was the First Season and although it was highly entertaining, I have seen it so many times that I start to pay attention to other things instead of concentrating on Paris and Nicole. Anyhow, great show but looking forward to next season.
Brothers and Sisters
That episode of Brothers and Sisters was somewhat entertaining. I felt that it was a little bit on the dry side, but that is because Sarah Walker was featured in this episode and she is somewhat boring. The actress who plays her might not be boring in real life, but I have a hard time coming to grips with the fact that she is some important figure on this show because she has so much competition and her storyline is the most boring of the main storylines. Having said that, she has a step-son who makes her somewhat interesting, but overall I would have to say that she is my least favorite, of the main characters.
Lost
I don’t even have to look on the internet to see what this episode was about and whether I liked it or not, considering that I watched it a few weeks ago. Kate Austen is an amazing character and she was featured in this episode of Lost. It was one of my favorites by far and it’s pretty clear to me why this show did so good, and still continues to do good, believe it or not. I am so in love with this show that I will immediately go out and buy the Sixth and Final Season on DVD or Blu-ray, depending on what kind of television I have at the time, because this show is one of the best shows I have ever seen.
Grey's Anatomy
That episode of Grey’s Anatomy was pretty exciting, but overall I am getting completely sick of this show. It has been on the air for so long and I feel like it’s trying to compete with ER’s domination. There will be no going back to the 1990s and ER in my opinion is the super power when it comes to medical dramas. I mean seriously, it has spawned some of the greatest actors in the business. Only one comes to mind as a formidable opponent in the Oscar arena, but there have been plenty of other actors from that show that have gone on to do other outstanding work.
Ugly Betty
That episode of Ugly Betty was so boring. I am glad I decided to watch this show again since I invested so much in the original product but I really need help getting through some of the episodes because they are painstakingly boring. Anyhow, this was a great show while it was on the air, and it was still pretty good when it was off the air, considering that I did not watch the Fourth Season until the show itself had its series finale. However now that so much time has passed, I have decided that Ugly Betty really reminds me of 2010 because I watched the entire series during that year. It’s fun to think back to that time period but I am glad it’s behind me. What I am really looking forward to is 2012; I hear that year is going to be unforgettable.
Lady GaGa
Lady GaGa totally blew me away tonight with her huge hit Judas but remixed to the fourth degree. The remix itself is called the R3HAB Remix and it is probably one of the best remixes I have ever heard. Of course this is available on the Judas Maxi-Single which I highly recommend. It can be most widely found on iTunes. Although I do not prefer iTunes in terms of software, it is the most popular place to find awesome music. It has the best music available from the entire world. Lady GaGa hardly ever disappoints and this hit along with its remixes are some of the most amazing songs I have ever heard. I am looking forward to her third single from this, her second full studio album.
