Guns n’ Roses: Yesterdays

Yesterdays was released as a single from the Use Your Illusion albums well after their release and by the time their shelf life had almost ended. However it is still a pretty well-written song and precedes one of my favorite songs from the Use Your Illusion era, being Knockin' on Heaven's Door.

Guns n’ Roses: November Rain

November Rain was released in June of '92 whereas the Use Your Illusion albums were released almost a year earlier and even though it was not released in November, it obviously has a fall theme. In fact since I just bought this year, in January, I would say that regardless of the fall theme, you can still find co-relations throughout the year.

Guns n’ Roses: Live and Let Die

Live and Let Die was released as the second single from Use Your Illusion I. That album along with Use Your Illusion II was released on September 17th, 1991. It was quite an infamous day considering how many copies the Use Your Illusion albums have sold.

Guns n’ Roses: Don’t Cry [original]

The original version of Don't Cry is very exciting. It is featured in the Music video for Don't Cry whereas the alternate version appears on Use Your Illusion II. The original version appears on Use Your Illusion I.

Guns n’ Roses: You Could Be Mine

You Could Be Mine was released from Use Your Illusion I as the first single however it was also released as the theme song for the movie entitled Terminator 2: Judgment Day. But it was not included on the soundtrack album as I previously mentioned. Apparently back then, 1991, it was not popular to include the theme song on the album. However nowadays it is commonplace.

Guns n’ Roses: Don’t Cry [alt. lyrics]

The alternate lyrics version of Don't Cry is pretty exciting. Included on Use Your Illusion II, it makes you want to get that album if for no other reason. But the real version or original as it is called, is included on Use Your Illusion I and is pretty much the defining moment of Guns n' Roses career.

Guns n’ Roses: Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door

Knockin' on Heaven's Door was written and released by Bob Dylan. However it was later covered and subsequently released by Guns n' Roses, a band I adore. I am not saying that Bob Dylan isn't talented, as he wrote the song. But heavens, the cover by Guns n' Roses is stunning, pardon the pun.

Spice Girls: Holler

Holler was released as the lead single from Forever. Forever was the third and final Studio album released by the Spice Girls before they went on a hiatus to reunite with all original members in 2007. They subsequently released a Greatest hits album and went on tour.

Spice Girls: Wannabe

Wannabe was released as the debut single by the Spice Girls from their debut Studio album entitled Spice. I bought that album and received five posters along with it, each of one of the Spice Girls. I actually put them up on my wall for a long time as well. I am a little bit of a fan of the Spice Girls.

Spice Girls: 2 Become 1

2 Become 1 was released as the third single from Spice. 2 Become 1 is a great track and it has aged little, unlike some of the other tracks found on Spice. However I still recommend Spice quite highly. In other words, I highly recommend it.

Spice Girls: Viva Forever

Viva Forever was released as the fourth and final single from Spiceworld. Following the release of Viva Forever, the Spice Girls released one single then they went on a short hiatus to come back a few years later for Holler and Let Love Lead the Way.

Spice Girls: Spice Up Your Life

Spice Up Your Life was released as the lead single from Spiceworld, the Spice Girls' second Studio album. Spiceworld was released in 1997 and it was the follow up to Spice, released in 1996. My opinion is the Spiceworld is superior to Spice and I think that is evident in the title. First you have Spice and then there is Spiceworld.

Spice Girls: Say You'll Be There

Say You'll Be There was released as the second single from Spice. Spice was released in 1996 and even though it is a little aged, surprisingly enough the rest of the Spice Girls' material holds up. Especially their later material but that would be expected since it was released more recently.

Spice Girls: Let Love Lead The Way

Let Love Lead the Way was released at the same time as Holler, however I consider it to be the second single from Forever because that is how it was marketed towards me. Having said that, it was released at the same time as Holler, as I previously mentioned; but I am not a fan of double releases so I will therefore conclude that it was and is the follow up single to Holler, the lead.

Daft Punk: Derezzed

Derezzed was released as the only single from Tron:Legacy. That was the name of a movie and soundtrack that was released in 2010. However Daft Punk produced the entire soundtrack, so unlike the movie that was released by Disney. The soundtrack album has a very distinct French House feel care of the best French House DJs, in my opinion, Daft Punk.

Daft Punk: Digital Love

Digital Love is pretty exciting. It was released as the third single from Discovery and even though it is a little jinn in the beginning, I still like it. Jinn is slang for unnoticeable essentially, so when I say something is Jinn; I am basically referring to how much it didn't cross my mind. However halfway through Digital Love it gets a little interesting and the beats sound like great House.

Daft Punk: Aerodynamic

Aerodynamic was released as the second single from Daft Punk's second Studio album. That album was entitled Discovery and it was released in 2001. It was released right before 9/11 in March and at that time I was going through a death in the family so listening to party music was far from my train of thought. However now that the rain is gone I can see clearly. It's been roughly 12 years since those events so for me it was time to move on.

Axwell: Nothing but Love(remode)

The remode of Nothing But Love by Axwell is stunning. Axwell is my favorite member of Swedish House Mafia even though his work is not as well known. For example, it's hard to come by tracks produced by him. However when you do, they are stunning. He has a very distinct sound and his beats are heavy.

Daft Punk featuring Pharrell Williams: Get Lucky

I heard Get Lucky in a store I was shopping at tonight and I was impressed. It's hard to believe that Daft Punk is cracking the air waves again in North America. However they have done it again. It doesn't take much because they are pretty North American friendly. But they are very specifically French House so that doesn't always go over well in the Bible belt.

Sebastian Ingrosso & Dirty South/Coldplay: Meich/Clocks

Meich/Clocks is a great little track. It's more like two wrapped into one. But you get the drift. Having said that Clocks was released by Coldplay and Meich was produced by Sebastian Ingrosso and Dirty South. I am unfamiliar with Dirty South, however Sebastian Ingrosso makes up part of Swedish House Mafia. At first when I did my research I was under the impression that he was born in Stockholm. But he seems to have been born in South Africa.

Miike Snow: Silvia(Sebastian Ingrosso & Dirty South remix)

The track entitled Silvia by Miike Snow on Until One is pretty exciting. Due in large part as a result of it being mixed by Sebastian Ingrosso and Dirty South, Sebastian Ingrosso makes up part of the Swedish House group entitled Swedish House Mafia. They do a great job at mixing Swedish House for example and I would go so far as to say that their French counterpart would be Daft Punk.

Guns n’ Roses: Yesterdays

Yesterdays was included as the third track on Use Your Illusion II. Use Your Illusion II is the album with the blue cover from the Use Your Illusion twin albums as they are referred to. I owned both albums previously on cassette tape. But I decided to step it up a notch and buy them both on CD.

Guns n’ Roses: November Rain

November Rain was included as the tenth track on Use Your Illusion I. The Music video for November Rain is pretty stunning. If you have not ever seen it then you can find it on Guns n' Roses official Vevo YouTube channel. Just search for Guns n' Roses on YouTube and it should come up.

Guns n’ Roses: Live and Let Die

Live and Let Die was released following the release of Don't Cry. Live and Let Die was written by Paul and Linda McCartney. It was recorded by him & Wings. However, Guns n' Roses decided to cover it and their version is amazing.

Guns n’ Roses: Don’t Cry [original]

Don't Cry was released as the first really successful single from the Use Your Illusion albums. I say that because even though the official lead single, You Could Be Mine, was released prior to Don't Cry; You Could Be Mine was from a movie. Whereas, Don't Cry was strictly from the Use Your Illusion albums.

Guns n’ Roses: You Could Be Mine

You Could Be Mine was released from the soundtrack album for the hit movie entitled Terminator 2: Judgment Day. I am a big fan of the Terminator franchise, even going so far as to buy Terminator Salvation on DVD, a movie that was released well after Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines. Terminator: Genesis is due for release in 2015.

Guns n’ Roses: Don’t Cry [alt. lyrics]

The alternate lyrics version of Don't Cry is pretty exciting. It is included on Use Your Illusion II, whereas the original version is included on Use Your Illusion I. I find both version amazing, however I am partial to the original for its originality. The alternate lyrics are original, just not as.

Guns n’ Roses: Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door

Knockin' on Heaven's Door was written by Bob Dylan and it's a great song. Guns n' Roses covered it and included it on Use Your Illusion II, an album not only do I recommend. But a song I do as well. Knockin' on Heaven's Door is quite literally my favorite song from the Use Your Illusion albums.

Mariah Carey: Honey

Honey was released as the lead single from Butterfly. Butterfly was released in 1997 and was Mariah Carey's fifth Studio album. I enjoy Mariah Carey's Studio albums. I have every single one of them on Compact Disc except for her debut which is one the way in the mail. I also have yet to purchase her yet to be released most recent Studio album, but obviously that goes without saying.

Mariah Carey: Obsessed

Obsessed was released as the lead single from Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel. I downloaded most of the singles from Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel from iTunes as MP3s. But that wasn't enough for me considering how much I love Mariah Carey. I bought the deluxe edition of Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel on Compact Disc a few years later.

Mariah Carey: Shake it Off

Shake it Off was released as the third single from The Emancipation of Mimi. The Emancipation of Mimi is one of Mariah Carey's best albums. I love the lyrics contained on the album. She wrote it after a period of decline in her career; however she most obviously bounced back.

Mariah Carey: Dreamlover

Dreamlover was released as the lead single from Music Box. Music Box was released as Mariah Carey's third Studio album in 1993. It had a release date at the end of summer and to this day, Dreamlover reminds me of that summer. However it wasn't all good times, but did help me through the illness my sister suffered.

Mariah Carey: It's Like That

It's Like That was released as the lead single from The Emancipation of Mimi. I love the album that is The Emancipation of Mimi so much that I went so far as to purchase two copies of it, the standard edition and the Ultra Platinum edition. I gave the standard edition away to a fellow fan who went so far as to purchase the regular Platinum edition even though I had just given him the standard edition. We are both Mariah Carey fans in a huge way, along with our common interest in Madonna.

Mariah Carey: Touch My Body

Touch My Body was released as the lead single from E=MC^2. I love E=MC^2, it's one of my favorite albums. It's a departure from Mariah Carey's typical fonts that she uses on most of her other albums. I like that because the artwork for an album is most definitely something I pay attention to.

Mariah Carey featuring T-Pain: Migrate

Migrate was not released as an official single from E=MC^2 and there is no confirmation whether it was released promotionally or not either; however it managed to chart on Billboard's Hot 100 and so therefore, in my opinion, it is a very well-written song.

Madonna: Vogue

Vogue was released as the lead single from I'm Breathless and remains Madonna's signature song. That is, of course, my opinion but it is pretty standard. That is not to say that I prefer it be Madonna's signature song. But it is pretty good. I just like Madonna's more hardcore nature, as in Girl Gone Wild or Erotica.

Madonna: Erotica

Erotica was released as the lead single from the album of the same name, making it the title track. I bought Erotica on cassette tape upon its release but that wasn't enough as I was making the transition into CDs at that time. I then, therefore, purchased it on Compact Disc as well.

Madonna: Candy Shop

Candy Shop is the premiere track included on Hard Candy. Hard Candy was released as Madonna's eleventh Studio album in 2008. It was an exciting time in Madonna's career; she had departed from her predominantly Electronic-sounding previous Studio release into a more Hip hop feel. However, she has since abandoned that genre once again, to return to her Electronic roots; a great move on her part.

Madonna: American Life

American Life was released as the lead single from the album of the same name, making it the title track, much like many Madonna albums that feature a title track. Not all albums always feature a title track. However Madonna is pretty good at delivering those, which makes it easier for me because I love memorizing names of albums and so on and so title tracks just help facilitate the memorization process.

Madonna: I'll Remember

I'll Remember was released from the film entitled With Honors. I don't love the film, like I love the song, but it is ok and reminds me of the song at least. I'll Remember doesn't get the credit it deserves, in my opinion. For example, I don't think that Madonna has ever performed it live.

Madonna: This Used To Be My Playground

This Used To Be My Playground was released from the film soundtrack for A League of Their Own. A League of Their Own, unlike With Honors, was a great film. However Madonna played a part so that is most likely why I feel that way and it wasn't a lead role, where I prefer her. I am not in love with the movies she has starred in as much as the movies she has had supporting roles; with the exception of Evita which is a musical.

Madonna: Celebration [MDNA world tour]

The live version of Celebration from the MDNA world tour is very exciting. It's the first time that Madonna has performed this song live and it's great. Celebration is one of my favorite Madonna songs. She named a complete album after it, albeit a Greatest hits compilation. However it propelled me into purchasing the video collection of that album on DVD; a 2-disc collection with most of Madonna's music videos found on it.

Tiësto: Miami (original mix)

The first track listed on Club Life Vol2 Miami is a pretty good track. Entitled Miami itself, it's the original mix of the track and is produced by Tiesto. You would think that all of the tracks on this album would be produced by Tiesto, however they are not. It is more like a Compilation album in that sense.

Avesta: Arena (original mix)

The original mix of Arena found on Club Life Vol2 Miami is a pretty good track. I previously purchased this track, or should I say another album on which it appears. However I was presently surprised to see it on this album as well. Unfortunately it is the same version, but the album I also bought with this track on it is entitled Cavo Paradiso '12 by Benny Benassi.

Coldplay: Paradise (Tiësto remix)

The seventh track listed on Club Life Vol2 Miami is entitled Paradise. It was released by Coldplay as the second single from their fifth Studio album entitled Mylo Xyloto. However the version that appears on this album is the Tiesto remix. Above and beyond that, there is also a track on the third volume of this series of the same name. That volume is entitled Club Life Vol3 Stockholm and the track Paradise, although another version.

Tiësto: Maximal Crazy (original mix)

The last track on Club Life Vol2 Miami is a pretty crazy track, no pun intended, considering its name is Maximal crazy. It's a great way to end the album, the second volume in a set of three. I own the second and third thus far. It's pretty exciting, considering it has made my summer very interesting.

Tiësto: Chasing summers (original mix)

The second track on Club Life Vol2 Miami entitled Chasing summers, is one of my favorite tracks on the album. Its lines are blurred with that of the preceding track and the following track. However, it turns out to be a great way to kick off one of the best albums I have ever heard.

Daft Punk featuring Pharrell Williams: Get Lucky

The first time I listened to Get Lucky, I was blown away. Pharrell Williams always impresses me as he seems to be very in tune with my musical taste. For example, his work with Gwen Stefani was one of the most genius ideas I have ever discovered. Not only that; but he then went on to work with my favorite singer, Madonna. Now he has worked with Daft Punk, I think I am going crazy.

Daft Punk featuring Pharrell Williams: Lose yourself to dance

Lose yourself to dance is a track included on Daft Punk's most recent Studio album, Random Access Memories. That album, RAM, is their fourth Studio album. However they released a great soundtrack album preceding RAM entitled Tron: Legacy, which was actually only one of many other types of albums they have released since the 90s.

Madonna: Vogue

The Music video for Vogue, as far as I know, uses the album version for the audio. Which makes sense since The Immaculate Collection was released following the release of the Music video. However there could be a slight difference in the versions, but I doubt it as they are practically the same length according to my calculations.

Madonna: Bad Girl

Bad Girl was released as the third single from Erotica. The maxi-single contains remixes of Fever which are exciting. However the versions of Bad Girl that appear on it are also exciting. For example, the edit of Bad Girl is my favorite version of Bad Girl. I love edits so it's not hard to favor it.

Madonna: Rescue Me

Rescue Me is a great single. It was released as the second from The Immaculate Collection, something that is unheard of today. In fact usually there is only ever one single released from a Greatest hits package, if that. However, Madonna obviously knows how to sell records so she can get away with releasing more than one single from a Greatest hits record.

Madonna: American Life

American Life was released as the lead single from the album of the same name. That album was released in 2003. It's a good album; it's not my favorite Madonna album. But there are so many to choose from, I can be picky. She is the number 1 selling female artist of all time; no other female artist or group even has more record sales than her. In fact, according to my research there are only three acts that out-sell her, the Beatles, Elvis Presley and Michael Jackson.

Madonna: Girl Gone Wild

Girl Gone Wild was released as the lead single from MDNA, Madonna's twelfth Studio album. That album was released in 2012, it was a great year. It was the longest Madonna has ever gone between Studio albums, including the stretch from 1994's Bedtime Stories to 1998's Ray of Light. That was more like 3.5 years whereas from Hard Candy to MDNA was more like almost 4 years completely.

Madonna: Fever [Murk Boys Miami Mix]

I finally listened to a remix of Fever that I have been blogging about. It was quite interesting. Available on the maxi-single for Bad Girl, it is officially entitled the Murk Boys Miami Mix of Fever of course. However there are some other remixes of Fever on that single that are also exciting and that's not to mention the Edit and Extended Mix of Bad Girl. I bought that single quite a long time ago but it has held up, over twenty years later.

Madonna: Bedtime Story [Junior's single mix]

Junior's single mix of Bedtime Story, the third single released from Bedtime Stories, is quite extraordinary. Junior Vasquez is nowhere to be seen today, as far as I know. However, in the 90s and especially during the early 90s, he was everywhere. He was one of my favorite DJs or producers that Madonna worked with.

No Doubt: Hella Good

Hella Good was released as the second single from No Doubt's fifth Studio album entitled Rock Steady. The Music video for Hella Good is phenomenal along with the song being co-written by Pharrell Williams who is a phenomenal record producer among other things. Hella Good was released in 2002.

No Doubt: Looking Hot

Looking Hot was released as the second single from No Doubt's sixth Studio album. That album was just released last year after eleven years of No Doubt not releasing one single Studio album. However I have read reports that they are due to release yet another Studio album in 2014.

No Doubt: Don't Speak

Don't Speak was the first major hit for No Doubt. It spent 16 weeks at number one on Billboard even though it was released from No Doubt's third Studio album as the third single. That's basically how many attempts they made at getting a hit. However the single Don't Speak is hugely recognizable all over the world.

No Doubt: Settle Down

Settle Down was the lead single released from Push and Shove. Push and Shove was the sixth Studio album released from No Doubt in 2012, eleven years after the release of the previous Studio album. I am excited because I have read reports that they are releasing a seventh Studio album in 2014. I say they can stop there, but only there because seven is an important number.

Gwen Stefani: Wind it Up

Wind it Up was released as the lead single from Gwen Stefani's second Studio album. Gwen Stefani released two Studio albums as a solo artist and has since released six Studio albums as part of the ska group entitled No Doubt. They are barely ska these days, but on another note, they have plans to release a seventh Studio album in 2014.

No Doubt: Bathwater (Invincible Overlord remix)

I heard the Invincible Overlord Remix of Bathwater for the first time the other day. It was pretty exciting. It was actually the Music video for that remix as No Doubt filmed a remix video for that song and later included it on their DVD collection of videos entitled The Videos 1992–2003. I have that video collection among the CD and so now I am working on acquiring all of their work.

Gwen Stefani featuring Pharrell Williams: Yummy

Yummy was not released as an official single from The Sweet escape but it is good none the less. It features recording artist Pharrell Williams and that impresses me because he is actually a pretty good singer. However on this track it's more like a rap. But Yummy has some pretty good beats and lyrics. I highly recommend it from the Sweet Escape.

Thursday, April 10, 2014

Daft Punk: Motherboard

Motherboard is the tenth track included on Random Access Memories. Random Access Memories is the name of the fourth Studio album released by Daft Punk thus far and their second major release in just three years. That's excellent for them, considering preceding the release of that album, Tron:Legacy, they did not have much activity in their professional career.

Axwell: Nothing but Love(remode)

The beats on the remode of Nothing But Love are pretty amazing. It's Swedish House at its finest. Axwell does a great job on the track as a prominent member of Swedish House Mafia. Sweden is absolutely one of my favorite Member states in the European Union. I am learning German in anticipation of visiting there because quite a few people from Sweden also speak German.

Icona Pop: I love it (Tiësto’s Club life remix)

Tiesto's Club Life remix of I love it by Icona Pop is a pretty good mix. Included as the eighth track on Club Life Vol3 Stockholm, that album is the third volume of three that Tiesto has released. The second, Club Life Volume Two Miami, is also a great record as I own both on CD.

Daft Punk featuring Pharrell Williams: Get Lucky

Get Lucky was released as the lead single from Random Access Memories, Daft Punk's fourth Studio album release. It's a great record and has left me wanting more. No one mixes French House like Daft Punk, coming from the capital and city of love, Paris. Right now I am leaning towards two of their other releases, including but not limited to the soundtrack of Tron:Legacy.

Daft Punk featuring Pharrell Williams: Lose yourself to dance

Lose yourself to dance is a great little track. It inspires me to just let loose and not to give a care because it's not worth getting upset over. Of course I have my moments. But I think we should all stop worrying about small things and enjoy life. It's rough, but that's part of the climb.

Tiësto & Wolfgang Gartner featuring Luciana: We own the night (original mix)

We own the night is a pretty exciting track, making reference to Jupiter and Mars, my two favorite planets. My sign is Sagittarius so my ruling planet is Jupiter since that is his sign. So I am biased towards that planet however Mars was second to Jupiter only so I have a deep affection for that planet as well.

Swedish House Mafia/Ferry Corsten: Save the World/Punk (Arty rock-n-rolla mix)

The version of Save the world that is included on Until Now is pretty exciting. I downloaded the MP3 single to this song back in 2011 but it wasn't until early 2013 that I really began to fall in love with this track, due in large part to the version included on Until Now. The official title is Save the world/Punk (arty rock-n-rolla mix).

Mariah Carey: Obsessed

Obsessed was released as the lead single from Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel. That was the title of Mariah Carey's most recent album released in 2009. That's hard for me to say, let alone believe. She has been working on another release but for some reason has not followed through. However she released E=MC^2 a year prior to Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel, so she obviously needed some time to think.

Mariah Carey: Shake It Off

Shake It Off was released as the third single from The Emancipation of Mimi. I was getting excited because I thought it might do as well as We Belong Together or at least come close and it did, but not close enough. Kanye West had to steal the show and even though I like him, I was severely disappointed that Mariah Carey's spotlight was ending.

Mariah Carey: It's Like That

It's Like That was released as the lead single from The Emancipation of Mimi. It was a slow start to what would become one of Mariah Carey's most popular records. The Emancipation of Mimi sold so many records, she re-issued it with several new tracks and one edition came with a DVD accompanied by videos. It's Like That was an ok song however it was more like a teaser for the main of event of which was We Belong Together.

Mariah Carey: Always Be My Baby

Always Be My Baby was released as the third single from Daydream, in 1996. Daydream was released the prior year and I was thrilled to have that record, or at least I am pretty sure I did as I remember listening to it quite a bit. However I can't remember that far back whether I had the cassette tape or it or the Compact Disc. I actually don't remember if I owned it at all, but I am pretty sure it might have been the cassette tape.

Mariah Carey: We Belong Together

We Belong Together was released as the second single from The Emancipation of Mimi and pretty much put that album on the map. As far as I know, We Belong Together is Mariah Carey's most successful single in her recording history so it's needless to say that The Emancipation of Mimi did well.

Mariah Carey: Don't Forget About Us

Don't Forget About Us was released as the fourth single from The Emanicpation of Mimi, that is the re-issue or the Ultra Platinum edition as it is referred to. Don't Forget About Us is a great song, it's not quite as good as We Belong Together but it definitely reminds me of that and in fact is like a sequel to that song.

Mariah Carey: I Want to Know What Love Is

I Want to Know What Love Is was released as the second single from Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel. That was Mariah Carey's most recent release. She is working on her new Studio album, but two years later, there is still no sign of release. However it's hard to ignore her talent so I will be patient as good things come to those who wait.

Madonna: Holiday

Holiday is Madonna's first well-known hit. I highly recommend it even though it is very aged. But it doesn't sound aged and in my opinion has aged quite well. It's a classic; it appears as the first track on The Immaculate Collection.

Madonna: Rescue Me

Rescue Me was released as the second single from The Immaculate Collection. The Immaculate Collection is a great album if you have yet to hear it. It is one of Madonna's more well-known albums even though it is a Greatest hits collection. However it is one of the more well-known Greatest hits collections, in my opinion.

Madonna: Justify My Love

Justify My Love was released as the lead single from The Immaculate Collection. The Music video was banned. It was then made available on VHS video cassette. I am pretty sure because of that that it is the best-selling Music video in history and I must say it's a great video.

Madonna: Express Yourself

The version of Express Yourself that appears on The Immaculate Collection is notably different than the album version. I enjoy the album version, found on Like a Prayer. But I have always favored the version on The Immaculate Collection. For example, it is much industrialized as far as the sound quality goes. The album version is a bit too brassy for me.

Madonna: I'm Going Bananas

I'm Going Bananas is a track that appears on I'm Breathless an album that was released by Madonna that features music from and inspired by the film Dick Tracy. There are only three tracks from the film that I can see; I'm Going Bananas is not one of them. However, apparently the rest of the tracks on the album have been inspired by the film.

Madonna: Vogue [album version]

The album version of Vogue is 4:48 min. That is somewhat shorter than the version that appears on The Immaculate Collection. Therefore I have concluded that I prefer the album version because it is shorter and gets going more quickly. I like the version that appears on The Immaculate Collection, but I am glad I own the album version as well because it is somewhat more entertaining.

Madonna: Vogue [Immaculate Collection]

The version of Vogue that appears on The Immaculate Collection is 5:17 min according to my disc player. I am now going to contrast that with the album version found on I'm Breathless. My feeling is that the album version might be better. I like the version on The Immaculate Collection but I am tired of it as far as the album version goes. I just got I'm Breathless on Compact Disc so the album version is new to me.

Linkin Park: The Catalyst

The Catalyst was released as the lead single from the fourth Studio album released by Linkin Park entitled A Thousand Suns. A Thousand Suns turns out to be a pretty good album. The album artwork is amazing, the lyrics are extraordinary and Chester Bennington is one hell of a singer. Chester Bennington was born in Phoenix, Arizona and is 37.

Daft Punk: Aerodynamic

Aerodynamic was released as the second single from the album entitled Discovery. Discovery was released as the second Studio album by Daft Punk in 2001, preceding 9/11. That's ironic for me because on this particular track there are Church bells included in the sound effects. That's important in my reference to 9/11 because I distinctly remember hearing Church bells as I was watching the World Trade centre crumble to the ground.

Armin van Buuren: Pulsar

Pulsar is the fifth track included on Armin van Buuren's fifth Studio album entitled Intense. Intense is a great record. I love the Progressive Trance that is included on this record. It is extremely modern and very progressive.

Linkin Park: Waiting for the End

Waiting for the End was released as the second single from the fourth Studio album released by Linkin Park entitled A Thousands Suns. That album turns out to be a really good album. Waiting for the End, also in turn, turns out to be a really good single. Waiting for the End is a single I highly recommend.

Rebecca & Fiona: Bullets (Club edit)

Once again the Club edit of Bullets is amazing. I bought the album on which it is from, months ago. However Bullets is one of the most-well-written songs I have ever heard; above and beyond its production. The production is tight, so tight that I think this song is one of my favorites in all of history.

Paris Hilton featuring Lil Wayne: Good Time

Good Time was released as the lead single from Paris Hilton’s upcoming second Studio album. That album has yet to appear on her Wikipedia page with a release date. However it will be her first Studio album release since 2006. I am very excited about it but I am losing interest. I enjoyed Good Time; but have since grown somewhat tired of it.

Calvin Harris featuring Florence Welch: Sweet Nothing

Sweet Nothing was released as the fifth single from Calvin Harris' third Studio album entitled 18 months. 18 months is a great record. My favorite song is Sweet Nothing. But there are some other great tracks included on it as well.

Madonna: Rain

Rain was released in 1993 and although that was a sad year for me, I enjoyed the release of Rain and what it created. For example, the following year saw the release of I'll Remember, not a very well-known Madonna track; however, one of my favorites.

Madonna: I'll Remember

I'll Remember was released in 1994. 1994 was a great year, due in large part to the release of I'll Remember. 1993 saw my sister receive a bone marrow transplant that was somewhat unsuccessful and so I needed a pick me up after that. Madonna usually provides that for me with her music. She did not fail; I still listen to I'll Remember 20 years later.

Madonna: Music [Drowned World Tour]

The finale on the Drowned World Tour was Music. Madonna had not performed that song on tour until the Drowned World Tour. The single Music, along with the album of the same name was released the year prior to the tour. 2000 was the year of the release of those two items and the Drowned World Tour took place the following year, in 2001.

Madonna: Holiday [Drowned World Tour]

The performance of Holiday from the Drowned World Tour is by far my favorite from that tour. There is something about the single Holiday that drives me wild. First of all, it was Madonna's breakthrough single and obviously she has not stopped; releasing her twelfth Studio album in 2012.

Madonna: Celebration [MDNA world tour]

The finale from the MDNA world tour is Celebration. What a way to end the best tour by Madonna thus far. It was the first time that Madonna performed Celebration on tour considering that it was released in 2009 and Madonna had not gone on tour before the MDNA world tour since directly preceding the release of the single entitled Celebration.

Madonna: Girl Gone Wild [MDNA world tour]

The live performance of Girl Gone Wild from the MDNA world tour is very exciting. It serves as the opening number for that world tour and in my opinion, Madonna looks better than ever in the outfit that she dawns on stage. Madonna is hard to beat, as far as looks are concerned.

Madonna: Vogue [I’m Going to Tell you a Secret]

The performance of Vogue from the 2004 Re-invention world tour is out of this world. I believe it is my favorite performance from that tour. However, I have yet to see it in entirety because Madonna chose to document that tour instead and release as just that, a documentary.

Linkin Park: Burn it Down

Burn it Down was released as the lead single from Living Things. That album was released as Linkin Park's fifth and most recent. Linkin Park has done a great job at keeping it together even though Chester Bennington has been recruited to be the lead singer of Stone Temple Pilots. That kind of upsets me but I think he will stick to his guns.

Linkin Park: What I've Done

What I've Done was released as the lead single from Minutes to Midnight. That album was released as Linkin Park's third Studio album. Not only was What I've Done released as the lead single from Minutes to Midnight though, it was released as the lead single from the soundtrack album entitled Transformers: the Album. So it brings back a lot of memories for me.

Linkin Park: One Step Closer

One Step Closer is a pretty well-written song. I enjoy it thoroughly. The drums are impressive and I love the guitar. I am not an expert on bands like I am with Electronic music for example. But I enjoy it and I can relate. Chester Bennington is a great vocalist.

Linkin Park: Waiting for the End

Waiting for the End was released as the second single from the album entitled A Thousand Suns. That album was released as Linkin Park's fourth. Chester Bennington sounds great on this track, among others, but this track in particular really amazed me. He has a very deep and spiritual voice in my opinion. It's really amazing.

Linkin Park: Somewhere I Belong

Somewhere I Belong was released as the lead single from Meteora. Meteora is a great album. I enjoy it thoroughly, complete with being Linkin Park's best-selling album. They blow me away. I didn't think Meteora would be good but I was wrong.

Linkin Park: Pts.OF.Athrty [Jay Gordon]

Pts.OF.Athrty was released as the lead and only single from Linkin Park's first remix album entitled Reanimation. I am looking forward to receiving that album on Compact disc any day now. I ordered it from Amazon.com and receiving CDs from that website always excites me.

Linkin Park x Steve Aoki: A Light that Never Comes

A Light that Never Comes was released as the lead single from Recharged. That album was released as Linkin Park's second remix album. I just received it on Compact disc not too long ago and that was shortly after its release in 2013. They are planning a Studio release in 2014.

Madonna: Rain

The song entitled Rain was released as the fourth and final single from the album entitled Erotica in North America. There are two singles that come to mind that are worth mentioning, however they were not officially released as singles in North America. But one of the singles, Fever, did receive the privilege of having a Music video made in its honor; a video I highly recommend.

Madonna: Vogue

Vogue was released as the lead single from the album entitled I'm Breathless. Officially entitled I'm Breathless: Music from and Inspired by the film Dick Tracy, I'm Breathless is classified as a soundtrack album and is not counted as one of her Studio albums. However it is a great album none the less, due in large part to the single Vogue, which is one of the best-selling singles of all time.

Madonna: Erotica

Erotica was released as the lead single from the album of the same name. The album entitled Erotica is most likely my favorite Madonna album and quite possibly my favorite album of all time from any artist. That is a giant leap but nothing else comes to mind at the point and I know for a fact that Madonna is my favorite artist, considering my library that features most of her collection.

Madonna: Cherish

Cherish was released as the third single from the album entitled Like a Prayer. I remember that summer vividly and have very fond memories of it to this day. Express Yourself was just released prior to Cherish and I was quite in love with that single so Cherish, for me, was a no brainer.

Madonna: Hollywood

Hollywood was released as the second single from the album entitled American Life. That album was released in early 2003, shortly after 9/11. Things have obviously changed. The world seems centered on the EU now, especially given what is going on in the Ukraine.
