Lady GaGa

Lady GaGa is one amazing person.  First she released the Fame and did amazingly well with it, and then the next thing you know it she is releasing the Fame Monster.  It is an amazing upbeat take on the Fame which was a little dull and boring.  Poker Face was an exception, but with this latest effort, she has really hit the ball out of the park.  It is the best album I have ever heard and I recommend it to anyone.  With 13 million albums sold in this digital era, it is a breathtaking feet.  51 million singles sold is another feet.  The Fame Monster is one of the best albums of the year, if not the century.

Apocalypto

Apocalypto was one of the best movies I have ever seen. I saw it in the theatre and I just had to own it on DVD. After watching it several times I have become bored of it, but none the less it is still a great film for all ages, except the young. It has high drama and excitement, and therefore is a must see given the current world climate and the suffering of the Mayan people. Mayans are great ancient civilized people, and with their discoveries, we have come to understand the universe in a more enlightening way. I recommend this film to anyone interested in ancient civilization.

Adam Lambert

Adam Lambert is an amazing pop singer. His hit If I Had You is an amazing up tempo hit and the two previous singles are amazing as well. Of course there were even two previous singles before that, but they were not on my radar and even the most recent previous singles were a long time showing up on my radar, but I gave in when I heard the hit If I Had You. It really is a summer hit, and although he is of American Idol alumni I still appreciate his talent, because he is only one of a few who have ever cracked through the mainstream psyche.

Grey's Anatomy

Grey's Anatomy is one amazing show. I found my self neglecting it for several seasons because I was still hung over from ER. That was an amazing show and hard to beat, but I think that Grey's Anatomy has done it. Not sure yet, as I am only halfway through the second season, but we shall see. The show is filled with drama, romance, action, and even humor. Which ER was lacking. ER was more of a serious medical drama whereas this is more of a laid back medical drama. It is highly entertaining and I encourage everyone to pick up a copy through Amazon as they have amazing deals and if you want to watch a season you missed or what have you then it is an amazing opportunity. I want to watch this show till the end.

Kingdom of Heaven

Kingdom of Heaven is one amazing movie.  I have seen it over ten times and every time I watch it I am brought back to the time period it takes place in.  I have seen it so many times because I love the time period in which it takes place.  Orlando Bloom does an amazing job as the lead actor, and with the success of Lord of the Rings, it is no wonder why they cast him in this role.  Some other notable performances is the guy who plays Lucius Vorenus in the Rome television series and the girl who plays a witch in the Golden Compass.  These characters are timeless and it is no wonder that this is one of the most popular films from the most recent decade.

Clash of the Titans

Clash of the Titans is an amazing remake of an old film. It is set in Greece and is an amazing back drop for a film about Greek Mythology during a time of release when Greece was in the fore front of almost everyone's mind given the current economic climate. Zeus, Poseidon, and Hades are all featured in this film. The Kraken is also featured as a beast who defeated the Titans long ago. A demigod Perseus who is a son of Zeus is charged with defeating Hades and therefore preventing him from overthrowing Zeus, the King of Gods. I recommend this film to anyone who is a remote fan of Greek Mythology. It has its roots set in that, and is an amazing film overall. I recommend it and give it a 7 out of 10.

the Tudors

The Tudors is a joint Irish Canadian produced historical fiction television series shown in the Western world and most notably in the United States of America on Showtime. I say that because it is rare for any program from Canada to be shown in the United States because not only is their market saturated with programs, but it is often only the most publicized shows from Canada shown in the United States. Canada has a wide market for shows from Canada but the quality is often mediocre compared to our thriving music industry. The show focuses on Henry the Eighth and his many wives of which were acquired from the reformation of the Catholic Church in England at the time, which later became the Church of England.
