Secretariat

This was a great movie and I recommend this film to people of all ages as it appeals to wide audience and it is Disney.  This was not the best movie I ever saw but it was definitely one of the best Disney movies I ever saw.  I add this to my collection of many Disney movies and if you belong to their rewards program then you can earn cool stuff like free movies.  Just for purchasing movies and so on.  It is quite amazing and I have already almost earned enough points to get a free movie, so look forward to that.  Once again it was a great movie, but it wasn't The Town or anything.

Ugly Betty

That was a really boring episode of Ugly Betty, but I am watching it for the second time.  The second season was the most boring and it is a good thing that it was cut short, because it really made the show suffer.  Things started to pick up again in the third season, and by the fourth, everything was back to normal.  You have to watch the entire series to get the jest of the show so I recommend all four seasons, but season two is definitely going to be hard to get through.

Alice in Wonderland

That was a great movie.  Alice in Wonderland is an all time classic and this particular version is absolutely amazing.  It is not wonder that it is in the top ten for the all time highest grossing films.  I recommend this to everyone, even and especially children.  It has a great little song in the end by Avril Lavigne as well.  I just finished this film on DVD for the fifth time and I saw it in the theatre when it was released worldwide.  I love this movie and I recommend it to all.

Avatar

Avatar was an amazing movie.  I have only seen it five times but every time I saw it I was extremely excited as it is an extremely exciting film.  It takes place on a different planet and in my wildest dreams does that actually come true.  It would be so interesting to see another planet instead of the same old thing.  Not only that, it would be extremely interesting to interact with some different kind of life.  For example, another kind of intelligent life that was actually capable of speaking a language.  I love animals and it would be great to see some different kinds.

2012

This movie was ok.  I saw it in the theatre the first time I saw it and it was pretty good.  I have since seen it five times and each time it has progressively gotten worse but that is to be expected after watching something over and over.  I still recommend it as it is kind of a classic especially during this day and age as we are so close to the ever elusive year of 2012.  It's a great movie but it has a lot of bad parts.  I do not mean bad in scary way rather a really bad acting kind of way.

Mariah Carey

The Emancipation of Mimi album is probably one of the best albums ever produced in the history of music and that is hardly a stretch considering how well it did and how many copies it sold.  I am in love with this album even to this day.  I just finished listening to it again for the umpteenth time and it was absolutely amazing.  I recommend this album to anyone who is a Mariah Carey fan or a pop music fan in general.

The Tudors

That was an excellent episode of The Tudors.  I will miss this show when I am through watching it but I do own it on DVD so it might not be that bad as I may watch it again.  The only thing is I am approaching the final episode and the suspense is killing me.  This is a very well and highly produced show and I commend the producers and directors for an amazing job.  This ranks up there as one of my favorite all time series and I had no idea I would feel that way after watching the first few episodes.  But I have grown fond of the characters and the actors and the actresses who play the parts are just totally amazing.  I recommend this show to anyone who is part of the commonwealth, or living in the United States of America.

Brothers and Sisters

That was another great episode of Brothers and Sisters.  The acting is really amazing and the plot seems to be taking off.  It's just amazing to see all of these actors on the set together.  There are some real stars and some of the unknowns are really great too.  Of course my favorite is Sally Field and Calista Flockhart, but that is no surprise.  I remember Sally Field's work on ER and who could forget the work Calista Flockhart did on Ally McBeal.  It was just amazing and I will remember that forever.  I recommend this show to anyone who loves a really Amish and wholesome kind of show.

Private Practice

That was a great fourth episode of Private Practice.  I love this show already and it did not take long.  I love Kate Walsh and it is no wonder that she did so well on Grey's Anatomy.  She is a really great actress and her character, Addison Montgomery, is a really great character.  This show is amazing and I recommend it to anyone who is a Grey's Anatomy fan or a Kate Walsh fan.

Lost

That was an excellent episode of Lost, too.  I have five seasons of this show already on DVD and I am only approximately halfway through the third season.  It is a good thing that the next few seasons are condensed because I want to find out what happens in the end since this show just went off the air in the middle of last year.  I love this show so much because it is so thrilling and exciting, and kind of scary at times.  That's ok though because it is only a show and a little thrill here or there is a pretty good thing.  I recommend this show to anyone who is a fan of adventure and thrillers.

Grey's Anatomy

That was an amazing episode of Grey's Anatomy.  I am in love with this show.  And it shows, as I have watched nearly four seasons since the middle of last summer, and I have another one to add to my collection as we speak.  I am going to hold off watching it for a while after that though because I want the price to go down before I purchase season six and I need a break from all the medical drama.  It's a good thing that I like the characters of this show because all of the medical mambo jambo can get on my nerves.

Desperate Housewives

That was a great episode of Desperate HousewivesDesperate Housewives is one of my favorite shows as it hosts a whole slew of characters.  Of which I like most of them.  There are only a few who I do not like but that is common with any show.  Anyhow I really encourage you to check this show out as it has a lot to offer and is one of my favorites, like I have said.

V

This show is ok.  The second season of V is on the air right now but I will wait until it is released on DVD to start watching it as I have already explained that I love watching television on DVD because there are no commercials.  This show is pretty good considering that it was picked up for another season but I do not expect it to last much beyond that if at all.  The actors are pretty good and the actress who I most love is Anna, played by Morena Baccarin, who really makes the show because without her there would be no plot as far as I am concerned and the show would be a flop.  She makes the show and she is the show.

Spartacus: Blood and Sand

That was a great episode of Spartacus: Blood and Sand.  I am enjoying this show for the second time because the season final was so amazing.  You have got to watch this show if for no other reason.  The second season of Spartacus just started but it is only about half as long as the first, so I am looking forward to the third season, if there is one, because hopefully it will be longer.  I do not plan on watching the second season until it is released on DVD because I enjoy watching shows without commercials and it is more exciting to watch something on DVD because it is usually better quality.

Legend of the Seeker

That was a great episode of Legend of the Seeker.  I love the Sisters of the Light, and I love the Han but I am a little bit disappointed with the plot of that episode because it relies on creatures who are somewhat misleading.  I find the old story lines a bit better, but the Sisters of the Light and the introduction of the Han make it all the more appealing.  I love this show and I give it a two thumbs up.

Sim City 4

This is still one of the best games ever.  I am so happy with this game that I still play it to this day.  It is one of the best games ever created and ever invented.  I am in love with the Sim City series however there have been some major flops in my opinion.  For example, I bought Sim City Societies, and was sorely disappointed.  It did just not live up to its predecessor.  In my opinion Sim City 4 was and is the best in the series, but here's hoping they come out with something better, and something I can play on my pc.  I love computer games and I am looking forward to some good ones, but while I wait, there is always the Sims.

Slumdog Millionaire

This is still one of the best movies ever.  For anyone who has not seen it, well you are really missing out and have to watch it.  It talks about the rise of India and in this day and age we all need to pay attention to that fact.  It will be their economy and China's that fuels most of our growth here in the developed world.  It's great to be part of the developed world but it would be even greater to live in China or India at this moment.  China and India are where it is at and there are already a lot of people from here who are over there.  They are helping their economy grow and in turn it helps ours grow as well.

The Tudors

That was a great third episode from season four of the Tudors.  I am actually in love with this show quite a bit but it took me a long time to realize its talent; but then again it usually takes a while for a show to start steam rolling ahead.  However not all shows do that, but this one did it exceptionally well.  All of the actors and actresses are unknown as far as I know except for the lead actor who plays King Henry the 8th, and that is Jonathan Rhys Meyers, who is also an exceptionally well done actor.  I say well done because he does an exceptionally well done job at portraying the late King Henry the 8th.

Brothers & Sisters

That was a pretty good episode of Brothers & Sisters, but I am losing interest already.  It's not that it isn't a good show but the plot is kind of weak.  It has great actors and actresses; and the actresses are exceptionally good, especially Calista Flockhart, Sally Field, and Patricia Wettig from Thirty Something; but the plot of the series does not seem to be moving along as good.  I am sticking with this show as I have the entire first season to watch, but I am not sure what I will think of it and if it will get any better.  Let's keep our fingers crossed and hope for some more drama along the lines of some Desperate Housewives calamity.

Private Practice

That was a pretty good episode of Private Practice, but not the best.  It was kind of dry actually and I am only on episode three of the entire series.  This show can still be seen on live television but because I missed the first three seasons I decided to purchase it on DVD.  As far as I know it has been picked up for another season so that will be its fifth season so far.  I just checked Wikipedia, and yes it will be renewed for another season.  I am excited because I believe in this show although this episode was kind of boring.

Lost

That was a great episode of Lost.  It was a little off the beaten path but I enjoyed it because it consisted of two characters that are pretty unfamiliar when it comes to that program.  I enjoyed this show so far and I will continue to enjoy it I am sure, as I already have the fourth and fifth season and I am only halfway through the third.  I started watching this show last summer and it was fun to see in this episode how they recapped the show a little and it reminded me of when I started to watch it.  This is an extremely high quality show.  I recommend it to everyone except children.

Grey's Anatomy

That was a great 14th episode from season four of Grey's Anatomy.  This show is so good that I have watched almost four seasons of Grey's Anatomy since the summer.  I already own the fifth season and I plan on buying the sixth and seventh season when it comes out on DVD.  The eighth season will be on the air this coming fall and that is super exciting because it has been picked up for yet another season.  It speaks to the ultimate greatness of this show.  If you have not seen it yet, then I highly recommend it.  I recommend picking it back up if you have not watched it for a while, and if watched it late like I did then I recommend buying the earlier seasons on DVD to see what you missed.  This is a great show and it is no wonder why it has won so many awards.

Desperate Housewives

That was a great 14th episode of Desperate Housewives from season five.  I am in love with this show and it just keeps getting better and better.  I think it has even been picked up for a eighth season so you can also watch it on live television.  I prefer the DVDs since I own so many and there are no commercials.  It's great to sit down and watch a full episode without any commercial breaks.  I find I just fast forward through commercials when I tape shows and this is kind of like the same thing only better because there is no fast forwarding.

Pitbull

This song is an amazing song.  I love Hey Baby (Drop It to the Floor) .  It is absolutely amazing, and no wonder with the success of I Like It, which catapulted Pitbull to the mainstream psyche again.  I loved Pitbull in the beginning but once he came out with that song with Enrique Iglesias, he really got my attention.  I am looking forward to the next hit from Pitbull, and while I wait I will enjoy this collaboration with T-Pain.

Kid Cudi

Erase Me is an ok song.  I do not recommend it to everyone.  Kanye West is ok in it and Kid Cudi isn't much better although I like his lyrics more.  Kanye West is kind of last decade.  Anyhow I downloaded this song thinking that it would be an awesome song since his collaboration with David Guetta was out of this world.  But I was sadly mistaken.  I will know better next time, but I am not giving up on Kid Cudi, it's just I will be a little more cautious next time.  I recommend this to any hip hop fan.

David Guetta

Who's That Chick? is a great song for those of you who have not heard it.  It features Rihanna and who can go wrong with that right now.  Rihanna is on a hot run and who knows if it will ever end.  I am in love with Rihanna right now and David Guetta can do no wrong in my eyes either.  I love the techno feel of this song and for anyone who is a club kid like me then you will love it too.  Any Rihanna fans out there will also love it.  I recommend this song to anyone who is a club fan or a Rihanna fan in general.

The Tudors

That was an amazing second episode to the Tudors in its final season.  I am so looking forward to the series finale but I am enjoying every minute getting there.  Princess Mary is one of my favorites on the show.  She is absolutely amazing and her mother was awesome too.  I will miss this show when it is over but I am looking forward to getting the Pillars of the Earth, perhaps, in the spring.  I will let you know how that goes, but in the meantime enjoy the blog entries on the Tudors, and if you get a chance then check it out.  It really is an amazing show.

Legend of the Seeker

That was a great seventh episode of Legend of the Seeker, from season two.  I love the last season of Legend of the Seeker, because it builds up to the series finale.  I love the Legend of the Seeker because it is full of excitement and reminds me of being in a different world.  One where magic exists and there are wizards and sorcerers.  Anyhow you should check this show out if you are a fan of Xena: Warrior Princess or Hercules: The Legendary Journeys, as those two shows have some of the same producers as Legend of the Seeker has.  I recommend this show to anyone who is a fan of fantasy adventure like me.  Have a good time watching it.

The Social Network

This was an amazing movie.  The first time I saw it was in the theatre and the second time I saw it was on bluray.  I must say that the second time I saw it was more exciting than the first, because the high definition quality was absolutely amazing.  I am in love with this movie and I intend on watching it again and again since I own it on bluray.  I am in love with this movie like I said and I think everyone else will be too, especially if you are one of the 500 million members of facebook.  I love the Social Network and I love facebook.

Brothers & Sisters

That was a great second episode of Brothers & Sisters.  I am in love with that show already and it is no wonder because it has such a great ensemble cast.  I love Calista Flockhart and Sally Field is amazing.  It also has some other great unknown actors, but I am sure they will earn notoriety after this great series.  Anyhow I recommend this show to anyone who is a fan of ABC, and I definitely am one.  I have most of their shows, or most of their well known shows on DVD and I love it.  I can go back and watch them whenever I want and I have them on DVD so that means there are no commercials.

Private Practice

That was a great episode of Private Practice, but I am not as in love with that show as I am with Grey's Anatomy, and I cannot stop thinking about Grey's Anatomy while I am watching it because it is so closely related to Grey's AnatomyAddison Montgomery, who is formally Addison Shepherd, is a great character, and her actress is a great actress, and that is just one reason to watch the show.  I may fall in love with it more as time goes on, but as it stands right now I am in love with Grey's Anatomy and not as much in love with Private Practice, however, I recommend this show to anyone who is a fan of Grey's Anatomy.

Ugly Betty

Ok that episode of Ugly Betty was pretty good but not a standalone show like most of the others.  This one had a hard time keeping my interest, and that is no wonder after watching it for the second time, but what else will I do with all of these DVDs.  I have to watch them at least twice to get the full effect.  Anyhow Ugly Betty will surely liven up but it will take a while since I remember this season being extraordinarily boring, although it is a shortened season because of the writer's strike.  I am watching season two just in case you are wondering.

Madonna

The Sticky and Sweet Tour was probably the best tour ever by anyone for at least the time being, until Madonna tops herself again.  The Confessions Tour was an amazing tour and this one was just completely out of this world.  I wish I would have gotten it on bluray, but alas I indeed only had a DVD player at that point.  It would have been amazing to have seen it in high definition.  There is always next time though.  I recommend this tour to anyone who is a Madonna fan and a fan of tours in general.  You will not be disappointed with all the costume changes and the like.

The Tudors

That was a great way to open up the fourth and final season.  I am enjoying this show so much but I have to say that I am not a huge fan of that time period even though this show has gotten me to love it.  This show really is a good show.  I recommend it to anyone who is from Canada and to anyone who is part of the Commonwealth of Nations.  I also recommend this show to my fellow North Americans from south of the border.  It is steeped in rich British royalty and has an appeal to any of the British descended people.  Of which the people of the United States are part of.

Legend of the Seeker

That episode of Legend of the Seeker was not as good as most of them but that is to be expected with such a great show.  This is my third time watching it but I promise to give it a rest after I am done this season.  It's just that I find this season to be so exciting and the season finale which is the series finale is the best show I have seen for a long time.  I recommend this to anyone who is slightly interested in fantasy adventure like Xena: Warrior Princess and Hercules: The Legendary Journeys.

Brothers & Sisters

I just finished the very first episode of Brothers and Sisters, and it was pretty amazing.  I am so glad to see Calista Flockhart again and Sally Field.  I thought Sally Field's performance in ER was amazing and Calista Flockhart in Ally McBeal was just as amazing.  Nice to see them teaming up and the rest of the cast is pretty stellar as well.  I will enjoy this show and it is good to see it is still on the air, in its fifth season.  I am starting slow though so it may take a while to get to that season.  Anyhow check it out if you have time, either on DVD or live television.

Bruno

This movie was pretty funny but I do not find this character as funny as Ali G.  He is the real show stopper but he has yet to make an appearance on the big screen.  In my opinion Borat is the least funny but he is funny too.  I just think that Bruno and Ali G are way funnier.  For those of you who have not seen this movie then you should give it a shot or just rent or buy Da Ali G Show as Bruno is in that show as well, but not nearly as funny as the Bruno from the movie.  Anyhow Ali G is the real crack me upper.  He is amazing and I recommend that show as well.

Earth

This was a great movie but not for everyone as it is completely nature related.  It's brought to you by Disney's new nature division entitled Disney Nature, and I already own three films from that genre.  Once again it is not for everyone but if you enjoy wildlife and nature like me then it is right up your alley.  I recommend this film to everyone and especially nature lovers.  The next two released under this banner were Oceans and The Crimson Wing: Mystery of the Flamingos.

Terminator Salvation

This movie was pretty good actually.  It did not do as well as its predecessors, but that is to be expected after Christian Bale's debacle.  I love his acting but some people were not ready to forgive him obviously.  Also of high note, this film also features the much acclaimed Australian actor from Avatar, Sam Worthington.  It's fun to see his growth, so if for no other reason, you must watch this film because of that.  I recommend this film to anyone who is a diehard Terminator fan or even a Sam Worthington fan.

Star Trek

I am so impressed with this film and word is that there will be two follow ups.  I am really excited about that even though I will have to wait until the year 2012 which just happens to be the end of the world.  Anyhow I am really looking forward to them and you cannot go wrong with such a stellar director in J.J. Abrams who also created or co-created Lost, another stellar production.  I am still on season three from that show, but I plan on watching the rest when I have time.  Back to Star Trek, it was an awesome movie and I am looking forward to the rest like I said, but for now I can keep on watching the original, and I plan on doing that again.

Gwen Stefani

The Sweet Escape was definitely a highlight of 2006 and then some.  I just started listening to it again and I must say that it did produce some huge hits.  One of my favorites is Wind It Up, but I am partial to club hits and this is no exception.  The rest of the album is pretty boring but I was glad to get it and I did listen to it for a long time.  I enjoy The Sweet Escape so much and a few other mention worthy songs are The Sweet Escape itself, and Early Winter and 4 In the Morning.  I love those songs, but the one that threw me over the top was Wind It Up.  It is absolutely amazing and I recommend this song to anyone who is a Gwen Stefani or No Doubt fan like myself.

Private Practice

That was a great first episode to Private Practice.  I am very impressed and I will continue with this series although I hope it is not as long as Grey's Anatomy.  It has a lot of great characters but it is lacking some originality, because Grey's Anatomy was the one who really hit it out of the park and this is just a spinoff.  Anyhow I quite enjoy seeing Addison Shepherd again and it just so happens that the last episode of Grey's Anatomy I saw, she appeared as a guest star.  It was quite amazing and I am so glad that I got this series on DVD because it just came in the nick of time.  Anyhow I will watch more and let you know how the rest turns out.

G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra

This movie was another amazing movie although it lacked a certain plot as the story line was sort of all over the place.  I enjoy that at times and this movie was no exception but I thought the movie could have been a little bit better in terms of character development and the plot like I said was kind of all over the map.  This is another good movie for someone or anyone who is remotely interested in G.I. Joe as it brings back a lot of old memories of playing with G.I. Joes as a child.  I recommend this film to anyone who is a child from the 80s.

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen

This movie was totally amazing.  I am so looking forward to watching the third installment as this movie left me wanting more.  The first one was not nearly as exciting but I recommend all three once the third one is released because there is an entire story line that goes along with it.  The story line in this movie was pretty good and the characters are highly developed.  Everyone in this film is a pretty good actor and the movie overall has a pretty good plot.  I recommend this film to anyone who is a remote Transformers fan or an action fan in general.

10,000 B.C.

This movie was pretty good.  It was not what I was expecting but I always expect a really good film.  It let me down in a big way but it was still pretty interesting to see how we used to live if indeed that is how we used to live.  I like this movie because it had a lot of great special effects and some life history lessons to boot.  The characters were lacking some depth and the movie overall had a poor plot.  The history of this movie was not exactly accurate either even though I have read that it wasn't based on historical events even though with a title like that you are expecting it to have historical accuracy.

Ugly Betty

I just finished watching season one of Ugly Betty for the second time.  It was pretty interesting but not nearly as interesting as the first time.  I am enjoying it on a flat screen and that is not something I was used to because I saw most of the shows on my monitor.  I plan on watching the entire series once again and that will be my second time for the entire series.  I purchased this series on DVD and I was not disappointed.  It is a great show and remains one of my favorite of all time.  The color of the set is amazing and to see it digitally transformed from an analog signal is amazing as well.

Madonna

The Celebration album was an amazing collection and the video collection was even better.  I just finished watching the entire video collection and I was amazed and surprised.  I am so impressed with Madonna's work and I have been an avid fan for a very long time.  I love the queen of pop and she can do no wrong in my eyes.  If you missed the video collection for the Immaculate Collection then it was a good thing because all of those videos are encompassed in this collection and then some, so you will not be sorely disappointed.  I recommend this collection to anyone who is avid Madonna collector.

Mariah Carey

Definitely one of my favorite albums of all time.  I love E=MC^2 and it was a perfect follow up to her much hyped and successful the Emancipation of Mimi album.  Migrate was an amazing song that was not released but should have been.  Touch My Body was another amazing track even though it lacked some originality.  I Stay in Love and I'll Be Lovin' U Long Time are other amazing tracks which were released and did not lack originality at all and Bye Bye was a huge flop.  Overall I would give this album a 10 out of 10 because it was absolutely amazing following her much hyped and successful the Emancipation of Mimi album.  I would have loved to have seen her do the same with her most recent album but that's what you get for not waiting as long and just wanting to put out another album for the sake of putting out another album.  I want her to wait awhile before she decides to do that again.

Lost

Ok that was too interesting.  I just finished episode thirteen of season three and it was absolutely amazing and astonishing.  In it Jack is rescued, so to speak, but not for long.  His rescuers soon all become captured and it is just John who is the only one who is free, but he becomes captured as well.  Only to find his father who is responsible for him becoming paralyzed captured as well.  Of course it ends in a cliff hanger just like every other episode and it makes you keep wanting more and more.  I recommend this show to anyone who is remotely interested in adventure and thrill seeking behavior.  It is an amazing show, and sorry to say it is off the air.

Grey's Anatomy

Wow, that episode of Grey's Anatomy was so amazing.  I love Dr. Hahn and I am so glad that she decided to move to Seattle.  She is an amazing character and she leaves you thinking who was even the head of cardiothoracic surgery before.  Another amazing thing in that episode was the fact that Addison Shepherd, or Montgomery, made a surprise reappearance.  I am in love with her but she left Grey's Anatomy for its spinoff entitled Private Practice, where she plays another doctor.  I have that show coming in the mail on Monday from Amazon.  I am really excited about that show and it was so amazing to see her on Grey's Anatomy again.

Desperate Housewives

In that episode of Desperate Housewives, each of the housewives takes a trip down memory lane in order to remember their friend who died.  He was only a handy man but he touched each of their lives.  It was kind of a boring episode but it did show how each of the characters grew.  It was from season five and it was episode thirteen.  I was kind of looking forward to what happened to Andrew but I guess that will be on a subsequent episode.  I am looking forward to that and everything else Desperate Housewives has to offer which is a lot of barrel of laughs, and good drama.

Legend of the Seeker

In that episode of Legend of the Seeker, Zeddicus Zu’l Zorander is transformed into a young wizard after eating a poisonous fruit and becoming ill. The fruit is poisoned with a spell and he becomes ill only to find himself as a young wizard a few moments after. With his youth and power he destructs the whole world in a matter of minutes, so to speak. Richard and Kahlan, along with Cara, help him to realize that being old can have its advantages and the spell is removed. This is an excellent show and I recommend it to anyone who is remotely interested in fantasy adventure, like Xena: Warrior Princess.

Dev

This song is pretty good.  Not nearly as good as the song that made her famous but I was willing to give it a shot since it featured the Cataracs, who are an amazing hip hop group and were also featured on the most famous Like a G6 song.  I am in love with that song and I am still in love with that song even though so much time has passed.  It is one of the best songs from 2010, and this song from Dev is not so bad either but it is missing the “it” factor.  I love the Cataracs so you cannot go wrong with them, but it is missing some drum and bass.  I need a fast beat like the song says and this song is somewhat missing that beat.

T.I.

This album was a long time in the making and a long time in the coming but it was definitely worth the wait.  I am so impressed with this album and I have only heard two songs.  The first song was amazing and this one is even better.  Of course I am talking about That's All She Wrote, his duet with Eminem.  I am thrilled that he did a duet with Eminem and it has got me liking him again as well.  Eminem can do no wrong at the moment and I am hoping that T.I. will follow suit as I was late in coming to the game and have only recently appreciated his lyrics and most notably his songs and albums.  The last album was an amazing album and this one is even better so far.  I recommend it to anyone who is remotely interested in the king.
