Everybody was released as Madonna’s debut single. It wasn’t until a little later, however that her debut album and fame took off. In fact, the single Everybody was released in the latter half of 1982; whereas her first big hit, Holiday wasn’t released until the following year in the same half. She also released a single in between those two singles so it took a good year and three hits to secure her fame. But she never looked back 30 years later.
