Words was not released as an official single to the
album, Erotica, but once again a great song, none the less. Lyrically speaking, this is one of Madonna's
most well-written songs. It precedes
Rain on Erotica and it couldn't be a better song choice for the dichotomy it
creates. Rain is uplifting and inspirational
whereas Words is linguistically informative and relative in terms of perception
and reality.
