Steppin’ Up was not released as an official single to M.I.A.’s third Studio album entitled Maya but it was released online as a promotional single. I think it is an amazing track and of the five tracks I chose to download from this album, I would have to say that Steppin’ Up is the best. No others really come close, including but not limited to Born Free and XXXO. Born Free is another example of a promotional single for this album however both Born Free and Steppin’ Up would have done this album justice had they been released as official singles.
