Rain was released as the fourth and final single from Erotica in the United States. Madonna was on the decline during this era of her career after a massive run-up in the 80s. After which she released a Sex book and it was all downhill after that. But she did make a comeback in the late 90s and continued to have several comebacks in the 2000s.
