Loverboy was released in the summer before September 11th, 2001. In fact the Soundtrack album on which it is from was released on that tragic date. The film was released subsequently following those events. It was a terrible time in American history but the summer preceding that was a great one. It was kind of like the calm before the storm when our heads were still in the clouds.
