Emotions was released as the lead single from the album of the same name. That was Mariah Carey's second Studio album and it followed an amazing run up from her preceding album, which spawned four #1 hits, becoming the first artist since the Jackson 5 to do so. Emotions was and still is an amazingly well-written song, even all of these years later in the year 2013, considering it was released in 1991.
