Rain was released as the fourth and final single from Erotica, Madonna's fifth Studio album. It's surprising to learn that Erotica was only Madonna's fifth Studio album considering she released her first almost two years preceding the release of Erotica. However that is due in large part to the release of I'm Breathless which is not considered one of her Studio albums given the connection to the film, Dick Tracy, it has.
