300 was a great film. I say that because I watched it again for the umpteenth time considering what is going on in Greece. How soon we forget our heritage and what we came from. Ancient Greece was once a thriving civilization and I can see why the Greek people of today want to preserve it. Ancient Greece was the cornerstone of democracy and so many other things that we take for granted here in the West. It amazes me that people in the West do not want to preserve the Greek culture, considering so many of us owe Greece our life, both figuratively and literally. So many people died for our beliefs in the battle that this movie is based on. Perhaps we should all look back for a second and realize that we owe Greece our life.
