Frozen was released as the lead single from Madonna's seventh Studio album entitled Ray of Light. Ray of Light followed a somewhat dark period for Madonna where she released a book entitled Sex and continued on from there with Erotica and Bedtime Stories. It wasn't as bad as you think. But she did receive a lot of flak for her choice of expression; which instead of being angry and violent is usually more of a lustful sin.
