Hollywood was released as the second single from the album American Life. This was shortly after 9/11 in 2003 and when I look back on this song and the references it makes to Hollywood, it is pretty clear that it is referring to that kind of thing in a way. I mean, just as the song suggests, how could something that looks so good hurt you?
